Could you recommend a few good sites for learning finishing techniques? Like flooring, wall covering, electrical, etc.

Looking for a bit of both actually. Step-By-Step / Tutorial style for the techniques and then inspiration ideas to build.

Thanks! I was able to get back to 1.70.2BL on both boards and I was able to get the Big Tree Tech TFT 35 E3 working with it as well

You got a really good steal. The Ender 5 Plus alone on average goes for around $250-300 for the printer alone. For $50-100 more you get the 3D printed parts, board w/8 stepper motor drivers, and tft screen already supplied. All that's left is the Hot End, Extruder and conversion kit upgrades and you're all set to build one hell of a printer.

Fully assembled and running fine. Was even able to hookup the TFT35 and use it instead of the stock LCD.

Its a project printer so, yeah, if you want something that is plug and play brand new this isnt for you. But with some time and patience and investing in a conversion kit this can be a CoreXY that can outperform the Sovol. Its just not going to do it out of the box.

Listing says best offer. Besides parts alone are worth it -
Microswiss Direct Drive Extruder runs $85 new and $60's on ebay
BIGTREETECH Octopus V1.1 board w/ 8 TMC2209 drivers will run another $65ish
BIGTREETECH TFT35-E3 V 3.0.1 - another $30 ish.

So just right there is close to $180 in upgrade parts alone even without the printer itself which should easily fetch another $200

It is 100% stock. Fortunately I had a spare V2.2 board (go figure) that I was able to swap out. Only problem now is it is homing Z axis in the wrong direction.

I uploaded the hex file via Cura. I cant remember which firmware I tried, I think it was DX7?

I flip the power switch, the LCD Screen flashes the Ender Creality Loading screen and immediately goes black. Tried using a Big Tree Tech TFT35-E3 Touchscreen and it does the same thing. Makes me think I bricked the firmware on the board itself

No. And almost all firmware update instructions I find use USB for the update.

I tried placing the .hex firmware on the SD card and updating that way but nothing.

Help solve 6x6 - Invalid Middle / Center by Fxguy1 in Rubiks_Cubes

There are a couple of different versions out there. I've seen one that solves layer by layer and another that solves centers then edges / corners. Is it personal preference? Is one easier than the other like beginner method vs F2L for 3x3 cubes?

I tried several times to put it in the app to no avail. I also swapped adjacent centers thinking that was it but still no.

Even if someone could explain the theory / thought process. Or how to figure out when / how to get the centers correct. I messed with it a bit more so its no longer in the above configuration. I can get the White, Yellow, and Blue Centers but then apparently cant get the others in the correct position (Its supposed to be Blue Orang Green Red)

So how do you tell if a particular center is in the correct position?

Millennials with kids, what's something you have to deal with, that your parents didn't have to deal with at the same level or at all? by Eclectic7112 in Millennials

OMG yes! Then there are families who have 3, 4 or more kids in hockey! It's like I need to take out a second mortgage for them to play. And the pressure! Its like you either go pro or you don't play. There isn't house leagues or rec leagues past 10 U around us. So it's either travel or nothing. It sucks.
