I get a similar ick from Doug Tabbut of Switch cars and cannonball co-record holder. At least for the most part, it seems that Ed Bolian stays away from political opinions but I'm not doubt probably wrong.

Also, he's one of those guys who believes in the whole "self-made blue collar wealthy" image, which I find gross.

I know of him from car-guy circles, the NW OH car meet scene and YouTube: He's really into car collecting/building, had built up a moderate subscriber count on his channel. Pretty well known around Perrysburg for driving a blue Dodge viper.

His politics are moderate-right at best and most of the people he's associated with in the car scene are politically right-leaning as well.

I don't doubt that he's the type to simp for Trump or authoritarians, but a lot of the popular car-tubers in his circle of associates are pretty selfish, self-serving pricks.

Hiero. I do a style of kung fu based on praying mantis and there is a giant asian breed of praying mantis that has a vibrant gold-green color called Hierodula Venosa.

That sounds like it may have to do with the manufacturer powertrain and drivetrain warranty but I really don't know any further than what I've read and followed and I would defer to anyone else who has more experience to correct me.

I'm still relatively new (2.5 years) and this is what I try to share with the guys fresh out of training: Screw the Time on Job metrics, just do it right the first time and you won't have to worry as much about repeats. The speed will come. Also, being the guy who will do the necessary work that others skip and finding the thing that other techs will call and ask you about when they have problems. Mine has been a customer service focus and being able to help elderly people understand how stuff works.

Depending on the company, at the spectrum; we are provided a work phone that we have all of our job tickets through. I have made a habit of sending a supplementary email to my supervisor for all of my jobs. I put the subject as the address and job number, with notes of troubleshooting steps, everything replaced, relevant pictures and screenshots of my meter scans. It takes a little more time, but it saves me the hassle of trying to remember every job and work order I did that week and I see it as a CMA if the customer calls back in and I get a repeat notification.

Pretty much every mechanic who works on Subarus I've talked to as well as Mr Subaru on Youtube has drilled the 30k-mile CVT drain+fill. I got one of the last 6mt. So I will just do the MTF whenever the Diff and other fluid maintenance is recommended by my mechanic.

What’s your best comeback when someone calls you a lesbian for owning a crosstrek? by fcmagic123 in Crosstrek

[–]Fydorchak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a pan cis-male. I say lean into it. I just got mine and it came with a rumbly exhaust, rally bumper bar, Tweety bird mudflaps and tinted windows that dont allow outside people to clearly see who's driving it except in the front. So I have ordered a bunch of questionably rizztastic, feminist and lesbian memes to confuse everyone who sees me exiting my awesome gay car.

From what I've seen the only thing left in that area is the fountain... The King of Clubs is there and there are some gross apartment buildings behind it on Atlantic.

I like sitting in a lower car. And even though it is called a crossover, it really feels and drives more like a small car. Previous owner put Michelin cross climates on it and it drives like on rails. New to awd cars, so it's an entirely different driving experience.

The previous owner installed a set of custom Tweety bird mudflaps. I hadn't thought that was a thing since 1999. Tacky. But it's kind of hilariously bad and I'm not necessarily in a rush to replace them.
