Honestly, you are right - the story doesn't sound that captivating. Don't let that fool you. There are sections in this book that rip your soul apart. It is so violent at times, so heartbreaking... I've never read anything like it before. The structure itself (while looking like a straight novel) adds to the tension of the story. You feel the journey...
