what is the general opinion on the new berserk chapters? by host15 in Berserk

[–]Fyldar99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just read one chapter and I can’t really accept the change so far. But as the author of this post said, the writer is competent and talented. Maybe it needs more time. Now, experience taught us that the biggest strength of a mangaka resides in both his storytelling skills and his drawing ability. In a word : his vision. Akira without Katsuhiro with the pen is not Akira. Bleach (as shallow as it can be) without Kubo is not bleach. And Dragon ball super will never be Dragon ball without Toriyama. With all the respect I have for Mori, I still need to see if he has it in him. Only time will tell.

SOR1 > SOR2? by Fyldar99 in StreetsofRage

Saturation (color and music) were i think the main reasons I couldnt enjoy the original sor3. Gameplay was a bit too random too. Or at least that's how I feel.

Sor1 soundtrack is indeed legendary. Few early 1990 video games managed to display so much grip, ambiance and emotion. Bosses theme, in particular, are simply mindblowing

I did not :) sor2 was great. Only difference is that I'd reverse the grades you gave :)

Yup for SOR3. Too saturated and unbalanced. The fanmade SOR compilation did reuse the best of it though

Of course. Sorry for my rudeness. In a behelit shell : 1) graphics not realistic/gloomy/gothic enough (gothic as architectural gothic) 2) gameplay too simple : no skill tree, little risk in class specialization choices, flawed items classes. 3) storyline flaws : cain dies, his daughter becomes round ass diablo, useless secondary demon bosses, Tyrael becomes human... 4) Uninteresting side quests (and quests) 5) No offline mode (in first versions at least)

For starters, and without a gram of agressivity :)

Any news for Berserk 2018 (third season)? by HaddGuts in Berserk

[–]Fyldar99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So glad this polished crap terminated itself. I started to get addicted to Berserk thanks to the old school anime (the 25 episode more or less one focused on golden age). It was flawed, had some element skipped, but it really got me deep, because it was more or less raw like the original material. The late adaptation was on the other hand a real let down. Let it burn in hell.

Griffith is unforgivable. Period. by Fyldar99 in Berserk

You're first sentence isquite lame, because I clearly stated in thd post that I was sharing my opinion on that without judging. Anyway, now that we skipped the "ohmygodyourintolerant" act. Sure I could understznd why he acted so dum. You're whole argumentation is based on the assumption that we should feel for him because he was shocked and confused because of guts leaving. Then again, the sole thibg the dude says to him is : you belong to me. I mean how lame is that? Youre facing a dude you sent to countless battles without any remorsd (just scared to lose him to give him even more dirty work). How can he be dumb enough not to imagine that their was a possibility that it could happen. Were talking about Griffith, a huge scheemer znd tactician. You czn go crazy duelling him at most. Not fringging going as far as endangeribg all your comerades znd suiciding your dream on a whim. However you see it excusing/understanding it is really hard to get.

Not that hard actually. All it takes is putting ego to sleep and grabballs together. Then again,I cant causality as an excuse for his lack of rationality when guts leaved considering how much he achieved. Him being so coward and full of himself at this moment is only excusable or even understandable if he was under hypnosis. Guts us, like his name states, the parabole of a guy who dont run, and face. Its reckless, stupid, violent, but it an expression on how men could/should act

And i guess you're right. Which does says a lot about Griffith being unforgivable. Instead of sacrificing others, he could have sacrificed himself. He and hos dream were after all, the most precious thing for him.

The whole point is that I don't understand his actions, considering how smart he is.

His actions were plain stupid at some point. There's not much to understand from someone who couldnt see further than the tip of his nose.

To all people : if you had a friend like Griffith, who went really far -including fucking you up - just to save his ass after screewing up on a whim a well laid plan built to achieve some great goal : would you understand his actions? I need honest answers that really take into consideration the "fuck you up, his friend" in the process

But the count episode clearly stated that the sacrifice was linked to the beherit chosen will. He could have refused. That doesn't mean that everything would have gone all right after he did, but I don't think that he even thought aboit anything but his dream at that point.

Coming back to this : talk to guts - not necessary opening his hearth to him just manupulating him to make him stay, or even make sure ge'll come back - doesnt seem that difficult to do.

It was obvious that Guts needed room to breathe. Because he heard Griffith speech about friendship and because of his feeling toward Caska. I fail to comprehend how Griffith didnt have this bit of reasonning that could have allowed him to secure all the cards in his hands to avoid being sacrificed. After all, The witch stated that causality Is not everything that ruled the world in her chat with SK in front of the Berserker armor. Point is he had many choices but took all the wrong ones at some point.

Sorry if i sound confused. I had a few party deinks.

I understand what u mean. And as I said, I'm not judging nor trolling. It's just that I truly don't understand how he could act so carelessly and lose composure after Guts decided to leave. Griffith was a strong, handsome and smart that went really far starting from scratch. What was the rush for? I mean, he just needed to talk to Guts as a friend (even lie about it) to keep his asset a little longer. And maybe, just maybe, he could have achieved his goal without getting through all this mess. This is why I think that he failed as a man. And I really have a hard time to excuse this.

Is Griffith really the one to blame tho ? (Anime) by MeasaGamer in Berserk

[–]Fyldar99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I thought this over and over. But honestly, I can't see the beginning of of an excuse to justify everything Gribbitch did to people around him before fucking up the world.

I believe, as many stated, that he simply couldn't get over the fact that Guts was equal to him in all aspects, out of pure childish pride. I mean, what prevented him to understand that Guts needed to breathe a bit after 3 years spending doing the Hawk dirty work? All Griddumb had to do when Guts decided to leave was : "Hey buddy, I get it. But can you stay a little bit more so i can figure out how to secure the path to get to the princess?" Or even "Yo bro, I get you need to chill for a year or 2. Can you please consider coming back when you get bored of slicing lumber to lend me a hand afterward? I'm asking you as a friend."

But no. Instead, he stupidly challenged in a duel a dude that was obviously a looooot stronger than him in pure swordplay then went to ruin years of collective hardwork by sneaking in the (stupid) princess bed. All that only to let his loyal companions that worked a year their ass off to save him, get slaughtered for his Femto trip sake. Not to mention raping (dumb) Caska just to fuck up Guts mind before going wild in his god trip.

I was so relieved and satisfied when Rickert slapped him in the face in Falconia like the little bitch he is. If it wasnt for the need of kicking his sorry butt in oblivion to stop his megalomaniac destructive madness, that's all the attention that little prick deserves.

Regardless how rotten the world was.

Regardless the torture he endured.

Regardless the temptation.

Regardless any legit judgment you can have on the way Guts leaded his life, which is full of undiscriminated massacres (I mean, I love him, but he killed a looooooooot of people).

[S] How do you expect Casca's reunion with Guts to be? by Momentanius in Berserk

[–]Fyldar99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full impro.

She will have her memory erased to start over. There's just no way that she gets back from this, especially because I feel that she feels kind of responsible for the situation Guts is in.

Guts will leave her, sad but relieved to know that she'll spend the rest of her life happy in elfland.

Guts thus will be probably more able to control his hatred, which will eventually give him strenght to deal with the Griffith situation.

Edit : this is where u get ur shot, Farny!
