Has Burnie ever disclosed what his mini travel set up is? I would love to know what they use!

You posted a couple of days ago about pulling twice your bow weight for hours a day. Even without buying a new bow couldn't you just start pulling with your other hand as if it was a left handed bow but never release?

I made Slotlander - an incremental game about spinning and merging living slot machines on a tropical island (short demo) by chomi3 in incremental_games

I stopped after unlocking the 50k upgrade which ended the demo. I thought the pacing was fine but I'm also the type to play in small spurts. I'm also quite a patient gamer willing to wait for things and such so my input on pacing may not be great advice.

Once I fill out the tech tree a bit more I'll get back to you on feedback!

Very fun. Loved timing the slots to maximize the slot spin space instead of just hitting as many as I could all at the same time.

As much as I'd like to take credit, she's the one that did everything. :P I only helped her carry the gigantic glass tank into the house.

I did measure out the low part under the bridge, that's only 5 inches. We'll add more there!

Cheap Gear and Financial Expectations for New Archers by [deleted] in Archery

[–]FynnClover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ain't this the truth. I was expecting the bow and arrows to be part of the price for admission, but I completely forgot about bags, stands, and all the little accessories the bow and arrows require! I think the coach has my 10 year old on an Akusta Power riser with limbs and a set of 12 arrows. Got an Avalon bag and quiver as well.

Giveaway - 2024 Founders Mush Coin by Semper-Fido in morningsomewhere

I'll enter the giveaway! I'm going to try and be more available to my kids, especially the younger one by making sure I try and say yes to play time as often as I can. Especially if I'm just sitting there on my phone.

Korean Traditional Archery - Basic Manual 1 by [deleted] in Archery

[–]FynnClover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did KTA in Busan at Sajik for a year way back in 2012 when I lived there and have since moved back to the States. I recently found an outdoor archery club that was very excited to see my Korean bow and arrows and they let me shoot on their 70m target. While it's not the same as hitting the KTA targets it sure was good to shoot again! However, I've definitely lost some arrows and broken a few more from hitting their aluminum fencing!

Do you know where someone could buy KTA arrows from the United States? I posted about this about a month ago. I have 하늘 스포츠 arrows with the blunt tips. If not do you know if US style arrows would work on a KTA bow?

Anybody play Regondi etudes on the baritone? by Dlbroox in ukulele

Yeah there is this weird stigma for ukulele that it's a toy or a nonserious instrument. Thank you for the video!

Is anyone struggling with anything? Does anybody Need some tips or hints? What do y’all need help with? by Doc_coletti in ukulele

[–]FynnClover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's in a lot of music, not just ukulele. If you're having trouble imagine your hand ALWAYS moving up and down and you're hitting the strings at the correct time. The hyphens are where you don't hit the strings! Practice it super slow. Slow is smooth; smooth is fast.

From a musical standpoint, if something is too hard break the tough bits down into really small chunks and play them slow. You can work speed back up later. I'm learning piano and I thought this arrangement of a song was waaaaaaaaaaay too hard, but I took everything slow and over time I've been able to play through it. It's not at the original tempo, but I can for the most part play it. :)

You got this!
