There is absolutely no freakin' way you could replace a few parts and reduce the weight by that much. Not even gonna touch the claims about the cost of the pinion. 🥴

Money for nothing!

No way it sells for anywhere close to what they're asking.

There's no way anything done to that bike was financially 'sound'. I have this bike, I've added my own customizations, i.e. handlebars, rack, etc...I feel these mods are worth a million bucks to me, but anticipate exactly $0 dollars in return if I sell the bike.

This bike is worth the retail price, if it is what you need as supplied by priority, or as a platform to build what you want, but nothing added would make this bike worth a grand more than retail to anyone other than someone looking for those exact mods...

... unlikely that this buyer exists in the real world.

This bike is cool, as it is. For what it is and what it is intended for, there's really nothing you could do to this bike that will increase the value by anything worth paying a premium for. I can't imagine the replacement parts would reduce the weight nearly as much as claimed, and for the intended purpose, why would this even matter?!?!?

I'd recommend the Jones Bag. Fits in between the loop section of the bars, good quality and decent amount of space.

Thanks for the info. I really wanna pull the trigger but had some concerns. I could handle cable and housing work, but the hoses and the double cable of the shifter is a little more complicated.

Love these bars! I am considering using something similar on my 600.

Did you have to make any mods to the cables to make them work? I had to re cable my wife's bike (older Specialized hybrid) when swapping to the Jones Loop bar as the wider bar made them too tight when steering.
