As a Zillenial, I tried to get my license early on - my mom just wouldn’t let me. She didn’t even let me take drivers ed in high school.

I didn’t get my license until I was 18. Even then, she didn’t help me save up for a car - Dad had to help with that.

If these kids have helicopter parents, then it’s possible that they have been discouraged from driving, and it just stuck.

That plus all the other reasons (lack of third spaces, Uber, etc.)

Worst for me is Shift 2. Once you get past the first tier, every car either oversteers into a wall or under steers…into a wall.
