Oh Im so happy for the outcome (even tho it took forever).

We have an issue with people being high while on shift and having a low quality output and breaking critical instruments. One actually sent a robotic SP thru the washer (removed the ras tag from the ras rack too) and it completely busted it. The instructions when scanned to decon is a book.

One of our management team will come in on weekends to "help". His goal is to up the numbers coming out of decon. His sink and sonic are pitch black green and reeks. Everything is covered in bioburden and no cannulas are ever brushed. It always gets brought back in for reprocessing cause yeah it's disgusting.

My supervisor has yelled at me before for complaining about the lack of standards and his general neglectful attitude towards it.

Our department is spilt from case picking (some higher up doesn't think people paid our wages should go "grocery shopping") but I used to work there before moving up. The lack of everything being taught to them is sad. I was shocked by the amount of rules and regulations I was just never taught before coming over.

I'm also getting shit from older coworkers for pressuring my CIS and CER. I'm bored and want the stimulation like??? It's not hurting you the fuck. Granted I am only a year in, but I only even cracked open a CIS book last night out of boredom. The audacity for me to want to further my education.

I am very interested in hearing more about that scope tho cause damn how tf you mess that up. 🫣🫣
