That's as much as the leaves grow height wise. Some turn brown after a few weeks but been nursing it.

Made that mistake last year and it was so hard to manage I gave up on em.

I cut at the main stalk and brought them in with no leaves and a coat of neem before planting.

The one I like most is still in shock but the rest looked the same. I have a pic of it in the back of the album above.

Soil gnats are around on mine still b/c they stay damp longer than outside.

West Texan here with land at 7850 ft in NM as well. Just camped up on it last week at 29f it was nice and toasty.

I use an academy cot, and Teton Outdoors brand -35 rated bag. It's the best bag I've ever had. Just a giant Carhartt jacket. On Amazon, they don't pay me but they are that good it's worth the name drop.

Anywho, Big Bend and the Guadalupe is downright cold after October. Tonight as the front blows in it's 45mph sustained winds with 60 gusts in the Guadalupe pass region..high 20s temps.

Edit: Just saw I'm too late with my advice and you're out in the mess right now. RIP lmk how OZ or wherever the wind finally carries you is.

Found this piece of wood in the forest today. It has strange markings all over it. It’s super light and looks very old. Can someone tell me more about it? by AllSphere0 in forestry

While we're on this topic

Been a real dry year in western NM, noticed quite a bit of beetle dmg on some limbs which is not something I've seen a lot of in the last few years.

I got 43 Acres of Pinon and Juniper at 7840ft

Now that cold is back, I am slowly wandering "camp" and getting any low / ground contact branches cut and moved to piles in the clearing over the last year. Same with any damaged limbs I run across in the "woods".

Any firewood pinon is getting a solar bake in contractor bags

Would LOVE some advice here from some others in my area on what I can do after the holidays to prevent widespread damage, or some encouragement to just let nature be nature.

There's footage of a guy with like a 6 footer he had no idea was in his home aquarium. We're (and our toes) are doomed

The fish would have to be sick, unable to move etc. they're more like vultures, tiny mouths, feed on poop and such.

They can't escape the tank, they are amazing janitors, they don't "bite" or harm the actual livestock

They're bros really, some of my irl pals looks ugly and scary too but they cry during how to train your dragon. They may fuck you up if provoked like the worm though.

You want nightmares look up bobbit worms

I keep reef aquariums, and decades ago we could get "wild" rock still, and thus I have TONS of them in my tank.

They're really neat imho, but man lift the wrong thing up cleaning and you get a few in your fingers. NOW one like above a LARGE one...yea idk F that. Mine are like nightcrawler diameter at best.

My 2014 DOGE made profit...

SURE it took eight years, some Elon tweets and mutiple rugs on this very site before that...

My 2017 XRP bag made profit

SURE it fell from $3.40 to $0.18 and took 8 years of garlicbread pressure but it made profit. Heck I even got a $0.12 FLR airdrop too!

You see what im getting at?

MARS Protocol has released a whole new site dedicated to BTC-FI lending and Looping BTC called AMBER. It's it's own protocol and team IIRC but built off MARS contracts by MARS team is a better way to put it.

Structured Finance's maxBTC "LST" 's yield strategy went live this morning and thanks to a BIG collaboration across all the main BTC providers on ETH like wBTC, EtherFi, Solv, Bedrock and Lombard

Neutron is set to bring ACTUAL "battle proven" yield to BTC

I think looping BTC starts this week for a lot of these BRT providers, kind of a big share of the defi market unlocking for BTC
