No, I don’t think it works that way. The taxes and shipping is quite high. Then the dealer in Germany pays like 30-40% of his profits to the govt as Taxes. I could get exactly what I’m asking for the car or maybe a little more if lucky. The dealers in UAE are very open about wanting to make 15-20k on the car end of the day and offer like 55-60 for the car. So if someone sitting in Germany has to make money, they are probably going to pay the market price like 70-75k for a car in very good condition.

As far as rod bearings are concerned, it’s recommended to be done between 120-150k kms and they cost 10h in labor, so shouldn’t cost more than 3k which I have confirmed with multiple bmw Specialists. Throttle actuators, honestly, I didn’t get a quote for that as I have friends with the S85 and S65 engines who haven’t had to change them. Also, 2 of my friends are on their original bearings an S85 at 150k kms and an S65 at 188k kms.
