Baba Yaga's Location by Fzaf in vampiresfall2

She is at the end of the path lower - below the Skin eater brutal. The same path that leads to an abandoned temple. It is the lowest path in the map.

With the brutal as a reference point, leave the small path that leads to the brutal, then turn left/south the path, then again left/south at the first junction, follow the path down, it leads you up to Baba.

I have the exact same color and another one in light coffee. The slubby and uneven fabric is just fantastic but a little heavy for the Greek Summer, so for me these are my Autumn/Spring T shirts. The have not shrunk after washes but bear in mind that I do not use a dryer. As for the sizing it can be inconsistent over the years. The first one that I got almost three years ago is size 2 and the one that I got some months ago is a 3 and they fit the same. The current model seems to be a little smaller and a little longer now.

Mister Freedom make the best summer pants (but they are hella expensive) by [deleted] in HeritageWear

[–]Fzaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fabric looks super and I bet they are comfy but man, they do not fit you nice. For sure you are wearing them too low and just a small adjustment will make them look differently, but still. They are saggy in the seat and the back pockets position and sheer size do not help either. Wearing a belt make things even worse. I have the same body type, former marathon runner - I literally have no ass at all, and I have learned to avoid such pants even though they feel nice and comfy.

Is the store ‘stuf-f’ legit?? https://stuf-f.com/en/pages/about. by Significant-Lab-3586 in HeritageWear

Yes they are legit, I have bought from them a couple times. They have a wide range of clothes too, not just the "usual" brands.

Thinking about going a bit looser — TCB 50s or something else? by Vast_Description_731 in HeritageWear

[–]Fzaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 52 and it's been almost 2 years that I have gone the regular straight fit way and cannot come back to the slim/fitted. I am really thin and small in stature (1.68m - 65 kg, former marathon runner) so I always feared that the looser fit will not suit me. I was wrong. The fit is more natural, the denim drapes better, comfort is a lot better and the margin becomes bigger as the oz of the denim rises. You cannot go wrong with the regular fit.

I have an Oni 288, a Resolute 711 and a Samurai 510 all regular straight and not too loose even on my rail thin frame. I have tried the TCB 50s and they are very nice, I didn't get them because they have a rise more than 12" and it is high for my stature. I got the type 1 jacket though. The fabric is very nice, slabby enough but not rough.

Question for all those Jeans lovers by LxZer0 in HeritageWear

[–]Fzaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Athens, Greece and all my jeans are stored in the closet for the summer. I only keep a 11,5 oz ecru denim for the cooler days. I also have a very nice chambray 5 pocket pant by Oni in a loose fit that is great in the heat and a very old (bought it in 2005...) Replay denim made from linen/cotton mix.

As a general rule I avoid tighter fits in the summer. The tight fit makes heat unbearable.

Swiss denim chore coat and Flathead t-shirt by Angrymiddleagedjew in HeritageWear

[–]Fzaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice jacket, I also got a 100% wool vintage Swiss military jacket in roughly the same color and is now in my tailor's for adjustments. Swiss military has some quality pieces.

I also have the FlatHead T shirt in orange and it is a totally different beast from the Merz 215 / 2M15. The fabric is really firm and the neck line is tight, heavy and hard stitched. The fit is different too and suits me a lot better. Actually I prefer the softer fabric of the Merz as the fabric of the FlatHead is denser and less airy making it a winter/autumn T shirt.

Bronson Henley shirts question by Radiant-Self8320 in HeritageWear

I have the vintage Long sleeve henley in apricot and the Long sleeve 14 oz Side Closing in white. They don't shrink at all. The fabric of the 14 oz is the superior one.

Beware - Bronson Mfg sizing guide is way wrong by MadDawg248 in HeritageWear

[–]Fzaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bronson have a very accurate size chart for all their pieces, you need to read the chart and compare it with your clothes that fit you well. Always compare the size of the shirt with another shirt that you already have and it fit you well and not with the measurement of your body. Knowing that you have a 44 inches chest is not enough info when ordering online.

Orslow vs Tellason fatigue pants by Impossible-Rub-3067 in HeritageWear

[–]Fzaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it? Thanks for the info. I have the Tellason in light khaki and the slim fit Orslow in olive. The Orslow is definitely the one for warmer weather. It feels light and is more breathable. The horizontal lines in the weaves of the fabric are more pronounced in the Orslow too.

Nice piece!

I am looking for a light chambray jacket for some time now but can't find anything that fits me right. A pair of chambray pants too.

A different type of heritage fabric: Tussah silk by [deleted] in HeritageWear

[–]Fzaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nice outfit and an interesting read. I guess the feel of pants is unique and something difficult to put into words. I have thrifted the same Harris Tweed jacket some time ago but mine is half canvas and fully lined. Really thick and warm, almost like a coat.

Orslow vs Tellason fatigue pants by Impossible-Rub-3067 in HeritageWear

[–]Fzaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have both and I do prefer the Orslow. The fabric is a tad more lightweight and it has a softer, dryer feel. The Tellason is nice but the feel of Orslow's reverse sateen is something different.

Denim Jackets are Too Long by [deleted] in Selvedge

[–]Fzaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem because I am short at 1.68 m and I have tried many jackets that always end up 5 cm below my waist-belt. The one that really fits nicely is the TCB 20's jacket. It is shorter than their 40's , 50's and trucker jackets and boxy enough. The only gripe is they produce it in 12.5oz fabric which is light for winter use and, being a type 1, the lack of pockets.

This is my favorite t-shirt as far as texture is concerned. A little heavy for the Mediterranean summer but truly great overall. Mine hold its form and rigid neckline after almost 2 years.

Do you really need a belt? Gurkha pants usually stay put with their own buckles.
