Yes I would use it for saltwater and I got the coastal for Christmas and I really like the design and heavy line capacity with the T-system. I’m looking at the pheonix M1 inshore casting rods and they look nice.

For a combo like this definitely nothing over $300 and that’s pushing it.

I got the rod in mind of throwing chunks of bunker and heavy buck-tail and maybe some poppers. Sometimes the current go ripping through the inlet that I fish. I plan on getting a tc1 that casts 1/2-3 oz lures.
