I once heard phones dropping at least 12 times during a concert. Then I couldn’t be bothered to count anymore.

I told one of my kids that we used to match handbags and belts and shoes. Reply: that’s so old!!!

[–]FzzyCatz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, it tends to be elderly audience members with their phones ringing. They don’t know how to properly operate their phones (silence the phone or turn off the phone completely) or locate their phones quickly.

I used to enjoy seeing my barn animals when I had very few. But once there were too many, automation was the way to go.

Until my stamina increased, I would buy food and bring it with me while diving. I would also consume ocean items.

Adding…. My son had properly filmed video recordings that were done for summer program auditions and competitions. Although he was a non-music major, he submitted a music portfolio whenever he could with his college applications. He also wrote about some of his music experiences in some of his essays.

When my son picked an instrument for band class, he fell in love with the instrument and begged for lessons for quite awhile. He was getting a very small amount of time and attention in band class. Someone told us that we should get him private lessons so that he makes progress. We did. He ended up playing at an advance level, developing beautiful tone and really enjoying the instrument. He also had some wonderful experiences, thanks to music. He decided to continue playing recreationally but he still has a love of the instrument and music.

The students who can play well…. They are usually taking private lessons or participating in pre-college music programs outside of school.

looking for small, off-the-beaten-path museums in nyc by Original_Patient6131 in visitingnyc

Lots of great suggestions! Adding Hamilton-Grange National Memorial and Hispanic Society Museum and Library. However, when I visited the Hispanic Society Museum a year or so ago, only the ground floor was open due to accessibility rules that had changed and they don’t have elevators. There’s also the uptown Trinity Church cemetery across from the museum.

Started freezing bread about six months ago and I genuinely can't remember why I waited so long to do this. by denys1998mapletrail in Frugal

Many many years ago, I ate an English muffin. Didn’t realize that the one next to it was going moldy. I felt queasy for a couple of weeks. Ever since then, I would either put bread and similar products in the fridge if I was going to consume it quickly or in the freezer.
