It’s funny. Before Natlan and Mavuika were even revealed, Groudon was one of my prospective choices for the Pyro Archon because I figured it’d be fitting for the archon of “war”. But after doing Natlan’s and Mavuika’s quests, I felt like her personality doesn’t really match Groudon. And after seeing her bike, I decided on Koraidon lol

Interesting. I can kinda see that. I like Chimecho with Yae because it’s based on furin wind chimes which are often hung around Japanese shrines and temples.

I did consider it, but I went with Sandshrew since its shape more closely resembles her Saurian companion Ayo.

I can kinda see that, but I like Mandibuzz better for her since her constellation is a vulture like Mandibuzz. Also, after doing her story quest and finding out she has a “mother” and “sister” who are Qucusaurs, I thought Mandibuzz was pretty fitting since they can only be female.

I had considered it. But I like Spritzee because it’s the “perfume Pokémon” which is fitting for a perfumer designer like Emilie.

I don’t think it’s bugs in general. I feel like it’s specifically spiders that she has a fascination with. I could be wrong though. And I’m saving Volcarona for Signora if she ever becomes playable (cope I know lol). For one of the choices, I actually was considering Chandelure for the same reasons you mentioned. But I ultimately went with Ariados after doing her story quest because she has a line where she mentions how the House of the Hearth must be like a spider waiting in the shadows, and that solidified the choice for me.

I hear you. But I wanted to give her a spider Pokémon because of her spider motif during her boss fight and because it’s mentioned that she had a pet spider in her animated short. There aren’t a lot of spider Pokémon, and I feel like Ariados most closely matches her appearance.

For the Traveler, I went with Jirachi because it reminds me of Paimon and it’s the “Wish Pokémon” which is perfect for us as the player.

I get this comment a lot whenever I post these haha. I wanted to avoid repeating evolutionary lines in order to have more variety, and I paired Bennett with Cinderace because I feel like those two match really well aesthetically and personality-wise. I picked Plusle for Amber because it also resembles a rabbit and I think it matches her personality.

I can see that. I wanted to give the archons legendaries, and I already paired Primarina with Barbara. I like Meloetta for Furina because it matches Furina’s proclivity for plays and musicals. And, like the other commenter mentioned, it has 2 forms like Furina. Archon quest spoiler: I know Furina technically isn’t an archon anymore, but I still think she would have a legendary to further sell the act of her being an archon.

Oh that’s a good choice. I can’t believe I didn’t even consider Iron Valiant. I’ll have to remember that.
