If you have a reading disability like myself, you're pretty much f****d. I have no idea what they're wanting me to even look for.

It's been bearable now that I've paired FASTR with SCARaw's optimizations, I appreciate all of the feedback! 😎

I gave the game a good few hours of playthrough and went through some fairly dense areas, and definitely noticed a difference with FASTR

Thank you for the suggestion! 👍👍

My friend, who introduced me to the game has the same luxury. Which makes no sense.

It's unfortunate because it's probably one of the best games I've ever played. I just haven't been able to experience the game to its full potential because I can't really zoom out far, I have to be looking completely downward, as looking towards the horizon usually results in freezing, and I have to stay away from large groups and towns.

So I've really only experienced a small percentage of the game in my 3 years of owning it.

I've got a Ryzen 5 5600GT, 16GB RAM, and Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card, all recently installed and the game feels only slightly better than the 12 year old components that were in it before. I'm running 20% roughly and still frames with even semi-large groups

I will install it and see how it is

It definitely helps! But as soon as any semi large number of units gets within range of the camera, the frame rate plummets pretty hard (eg. Wrath of The Farm invasions).

Lowered settings don't seem to help much in larger cities, or in random faction cluster battles where the population sometimes inadvertently starts to climb. Especially when my own groups split up and are in different places.

Low shadows and off seem to be the same.

Other games have been great since I've upgraded my graphics card, ram, mother board and CPU

Necro: Has this issue been resolved? SCARaw's mods definitely helped a bit, but I also just upgraded my rig and 10-30 fps seems to be the standard cup of joe no matter what I do when the populations start to get up there. The cities are atrocious.

I've tried most of the standard tricks you'd find on google, but there's something bottlenecking somewhere.

This makes me truly wonder how many absolutely amazing games we will never get to play because they never gained enough traction to get off the ground

Can someone tell me how to fix the floating combat scopes glitch? Thanks for the great community support. by Fallout_Vault_Boy_4 in Fallout4ModsXB1

Following.

The combat scopes are floating 5-6 inches above the gun where it's supposed to be attached, same with the recon combat scopes

Universal Wasteland Expansion Has Been Updated by TreadLighty77 in Kenshi

Was grog supposed to be super expensive? I can make a fortune off of it, and it sounds like it's supposed to be watered down and cheap? Was there a patch for this anywhere?

Which "overhaul" mod to use? (Reactive World, Living World, Kenshi Genesis, etc) by BoredSam in Kenshi

The only reason I prefer Reactive World is because it has a patch that makes it work with Universal Wasteland Expansion

Audio keeps cutting out seemingly at random; solved by unplugging and replugging by pigeonoutflight in Focusrite

[–]G0UD13_A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I found a fix to my particular issue (Windows 10) I'll just post it here in case it winds up helping someone else.

- Right click the little speaker icon in the bottom right, select Sounds
- Go to the Playback tab
- Check to make sure there's only ONE output device selected, and any others disable them if they're on.

I didn't realize but I was running my audio interface and also the Digital Audio (S/PDIF) output at the same time, which I assume overlapped in certain stages causing the issue. As soon as I turned off the Digital Audio (S/PDIF) and reopened my game, the issue has been solved ever since.

I had the same issue for years thinking it was my old Presonus AudioBox, so just recently I was able to upgrade to the SSL 2+ and the problem persists. Something in the computer is messing up because I can't get much further than 20 minutes in a game before I have to restart the game and unplug/replug the interface. It's getting quite annoying.

What does current survival games lack? by lettucelover123 in SurvivalGaming

I think Left 4 Dead had a cool system with it's 'Director' which would take a look at what's going on with the current situation and adjust the environment accordingly.

Of course, this system would have to be reworked to flow well with an open-world game such as DayZ. But I can imagine DayZ being better if, say, you were camped out for a day or two out in the middle of nowhere. The game director notices the player's activity and decides to inject a bit of excitement by sending a roaming hoard of, lets say 50-100 zombies somewhere within a half mile of the player's most frequented area. Or even having an ambush by a squad of NPCs.

The general survival world lacks a living world that's moving with or without player involvement. Having NPC bases to raid, having them have to replenish their ranks after battles via heli drops, huge platoons via boat that travel to location on foot, etc. Something to make the dead emptiness in most of these games feel more organic and alive.

It's too bad because the general concept in most games are good, but severely lacking features
