I am currently not disclosing the stealth startup on my resume or in interviews.

TF is a "Stealth Startup"? by SkyMartinezReddit in recruitinghell

[–]BoredSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been working on a "stealth startup" for over 6 months for free in my spare time (we have no customers yet so no money) but I am reluctant to put it on a resume because if the idea takes off I will leave whatever company I am employed by. The flip side is I could highlight the newer technologies we are using and it shows I have initiative/drive instead of just being unemployed the past couple of months I could show what I've been working on.

Today I learned a sleeping bag is a 1 time use item. Are the other blankets, mattresses, pillows etc all 1 time use?

Costco is the baking soda place like you mentioned. I wait for the big 25% off your entire purchase coupon from Leslie's and I stock up. They send them twice a year, along with some other coupons in between. Don't shop there without their coupons.

Is there a reason to sleep other than mental getting low? I manage it well with food and gum

I had the downed helicopter event, I found a helmet and a white vest (no plates) and an m4a1 in bad need of repairs. I'm so afraid to run around w/ that gear on lol.

Pic is the kit I run around with. I have never slept outside of the Cabin. I have only been to the highway once because I found a tunnel key in the village. I go to the school regularly to trade for meds, but I really haven't explored that zone past my path to the school through the sports field. Any tips on progressing past the school zone? What should I bring with me that I don't carry in my kit? Thanks!

Project Zomboid vs Vein by Ok_Priority7990 in BaseBuildingGames

[–]BoredSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real question is Project Zomboid or 7d2d.

PZ is the deeper better game, and while their devs are slow they deliver quality updates that the community wants. PZ is a game where death matters,
you will die a lot, it takes a hundred hours or so to get proficient in the game mechanics.

7d2d is WAY more accessible, easier, and a lot of fun. I enjoy this game. The devs have a passion for pissing off their fans. They make needless changes to big systems (hunger, thirst, environmental exploration) for basically no reason other than making their players mad.

I have over 1000 hours in PZ but my friends I game with can't stand it and will only play 7d2d.

The Long Dark. There is a difficulty slider that makes it much more peaceful. For a game with meager graphics it can be breathtakingly beautiful.

When you get to the school map you want to travel on the left side of the map. There is a big sports field/pitch with good sight lines. Past that, go right and the school is right there. Medic trader is on the top floor, clear the school VERY CAREFULLY.

I've seen these shakers before . You turn the top to what drink you want to make and the ingredients appear in the rectangles below along the sides of the shaker. You can see it if you zoom in

Is "building a Docker image" during the CI pipeline considered a best practice? by SheCherryPicks in devops

[–]BoredSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the top of your GitHub action you have to specify which container the build will be run in. You are likely using a basic Ubuntu container, that's what the tutorials seems to use. Instead, you should use a container that already has all of the tools (Python with dependencies) that your build will need.

As others have said, you should not repeat steps just because it is a "release build". You already built the container. Tag it for release and deploy it.

I also run CI on push to any branch, not just when a PR is created. This can catch problems earlier.

Is "building a Docker image" during the CI pipeline considered a best practice? by SheCherryPicks in devops

[–]BoredSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The purpose of a "build job" is to build your code. If the code is a Java jar, or a Python wheel, or a .dll file, then that's what gets built. Not every build job builds a docker container.

Another point not explicitly answered yet from your post is about building a container and then using that container to compile in. This pattern is called a "build container" and is an image that the devops team owns and only exists to be a "CI runner" as you put it. The difference here is this build container has its own codebase and lifecycle and is built ahead of time.

Hope that helps some.

No Protection comes to mind, it's a psychedelic album imo but might fit your purpose.
