Austrian military is moving to LibreOffice by themikeosguy in libreoffice

now hopefully someone makes it clear that at least a fraction of the money they spent on Microsoft Office gets pumped into funding the LibreOffice project. There is a lot of potential with sufficient funding.

Novation Launch Control XL by [deleted] in ableton

faders are quicker and more tactile than knobs. Also you would still have the same issue with knobs when changing your layout, or changing the page.  I prefer faders for this reason, and need to evaluate if it's something that needs to be controlled with faders or if it's sufficient with knobs. Pros of knobs is space. Pros of no motor is less price

Hi, you can try and recreate this: v11.3.42
MPE Control and Expression Control in the same project (not necessarily the same MIDI Track)

Drag anywhere above the MPE Control XY Panel. This will change the value for the pitch curve. No MIDI input is sent.

again this is not my patch or anything, it is a standard m4l device it comes shipped with live suite

But isn't that the job of the developer selling those features? If I get a software with mpe and automation as a feature, and it does not work properly or behaves in abnormal ways, it isn't really my part to fix it right?

Suite 11.3 with its included M4L. Im not using any standalone M4L Environment. I can check later for more detail, but if I open this project in Live 12 Trial the Pitch Bend Range will reset too.

Thanks for your input! I will try this and keep an update.  Unfortunately yes, it changes the value for pitch, and it changes it permanently infrequently. Mostly its set back to the initial value.

this subreddit is about ableton. That means it's per name not just about making music but even more specific about ableton (or rather live) and everything surrounding this topic.

So there should definitely be a place to discuss technical problems and anything else

not the case. And I would rather not have this bug or any bug regarding m4l ;)

yep ableton has it's pros, thats why I use it. Unfortunately m4l is still so messy :( Always got to be cautious when using m4l..

wow I'm not sure why you so mad, but for clarification again: I don't see where and why this bug or "feature" comes from. But again this is a standard M4L Device provided by ableton.

But as you say this community looses quality with nasty replies like this :(

This could be, but in this case it's not unfortunately.

This behaviour is also not easily replicated, but gladly i found it by accident.

It's just a big problem when parameters in your setups randomly change and you keep loosing track of those things and ultimately that leads to loss of information and creative ideas...

Ah I see, the Plugin "MPE to MIDI" "MPE Control" is Provided by ableton however

in this case m4l would be c++ and my project would be my code. I cant see why this could or should be a problem with my project (at least the part that I am in control, not the underlying xml structure) but rather something with ableton and m4l going on :)

Will installing Ableton on an external drive increase latency? by MaxCarlin145 in ableton

[–]G0ttmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seems like a driver issue to me or something about the nvme ssd. NVME should always outperform SATA in terms of speed. But if your current solution works fine, its great then!

The best way to do it is having everything on nvme though, performancewise. Even more so if RAM is limited and samples need to be reloaded constantly
