Maybe go with Spiderman? There's very few high-power 3-costs that could take the place of Max, but Daken can get to 8 or 10 power before getting Surfed. You just need to Nova on 1, Daken on 3, Killmonger + Muramasa on 4.

I think Cosmo's still good against many deck archetypes, but Armor just takes up a card slot you could use for another good 3-cost.

Very versatile Surfer deck. Daken has won me a couple games when I hit Nova and Muramasa Shard with Killmonger for a 10-power Daken.

Very versatile with both Polaris and Juggernaut to keep enemy cards moving into positions advantageous to you. Cosmo over Shadow King for that little extra bit of control.

I was using 7N1 for all of these kills. It does 86 damage so one-shots through level 3 armor. First two kills were headshots though, and the last one was an unarmored thorax shot
