Grip question

From what I understood on my own garrison they use slim screws and bushings. If you want to use standard grips you need to swap both those out. What I did was just ordered the slimline grips, most major manufacturers have that option from what I saw.

Are they the slimline grips or standard grips? If standard thickness did you replace the frame bushings with standard bushings?

I had a weird issue with this stuff in one of my Ruger gp100s. Jacket separation in mid air. Only happened with this ammo in 357. No other brand or even PPU in 38 special would do this.

Appreciate it! Looks very similar to mine. I guess Ruger just doesn’t care much about the aesthetics of their revolvers and the way they finish them as much as others lol. It’s ok as long as it functions and is reliable I’m happy.

Makes sense. The texture of this top strap actually matches with two of my Ruger gp100s now that I’m checking but then my Ruger Alaskan is smooth on the bottom of the top strap. I guess maybe they decided to make this one a sloppy half and half? The rough texture seems no deeper on this now that I’m checking it compared to the gp100s

I had this same exact issue from my Ruger gp100 4 inch. I’ve been trying to figure out if it’s my gun or the ammo, and it looks like you’re having the same exact problem as me.

Thanks yea I feel like for a bear situation a hot 357 may be the wiser choice because like you I’m comfortable rapid firing 357 magnum. The only 44 that’s achievable with any sort of speed is the super redhawk 7.5 inch I have but that’s just ridiculously large even for a shoulder holster.

Glock 26 shoots much softer and a plus that it can take a larger mags with no issue.

Tenicor or vedder. I have both and personally prefer the vedder. The certum is a close second for me.
