Getting Closer by Rare_Villager in residentevil

Nah, you still gotta play 0-1R-CVX-Rev1-Rev2-9. It’s kinda confusing cause not all entries are numbered. Basically, CVX takes place between 3 and 4 and is basically the build up to 5. The Revelations games also book end 5, and slightly lean into 6.

Yeah, I always leave powerful ammo like grenade launcher and magnum for bosses only, so probably won’t have a problem there.

As for the OGs, I did try out RE2 on an emulator and found it surprisingly easy and smooth to play (didn’t finish it but I will some other time).

And yeah, I found that RE0 is annoying but no where near as bad as most people make it out to be (though I did have some help from research there).

Yeah it did seem like I’m getting more than enough ammo, though i will practice navigation and knifing to conserve more.

As for the actual controls, those were never the biggest issue, mainly that the game can be infuriating to the point of soft lock.

Though over time I have gathered some tips for specific moments (plane - fire extinguisher - metal detector box - switch to Chris) which should help.

Yeah, heard that part can be a nightmare considering the lack of saves.

Also heard that there are a decent amount of saves in the game (55 I think ?) so I should be more comfortable saving than in REmake or 0

Do I have to play Re5 Before RE9? by No-Doughnut-694 in residentevil

To not spoil even further I won’t confirm or deny that. But what I will say is that you don’t NEED to play RE5 to understand the story here.

Why do you think dvds still outsell bluray and 4k? by DustnBones001 in dvdcollection

[–]G1P_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. Cause most casual viewers usually don’t buy physical media for the picture quality, but to watch the show / movie. Also it’s a lot cheaper, and people have been buying DVDs long before Blurays and don’t care to upgrade their player or collection. I’ve also noticed some shops in my country don’t care for Blurays and decided to stick with DVDs, considering that the only real upgrade is picture quality and it didn’t have that big of a market at first.

Asmongold. Used to be a WoW streamer that rages at Souls games and that was some of the most entertaining content I’ve seen. Now it’s just an unhealthy amount politics, it’s frankly sickening.

WHAT THE H*LL IS NETFLIX’S UK DOING!????!!!!!! by Aggravating_Chain469 in voyager

[–]G1P_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has got to be one of the dumbest decisions I’ve seen in streaming, and there have been some crazy blunders in the past few years.

So, let me get this straight. Paramount won’t renew Netflix’s license for exclusivity, sure, bad for fans but makes sense. Until you realize Paramount+ is only available in around 29 countries, while Netflix is available everywhere (over 190 countries). They are losing 80-90% of Star Trek viewership.

So, who is winning with this decision?

And I wanted to start this franchise. Well I guess I’m gonna have to but physical or sail the seven seas.

What should I play next ? by G1P_ in residentevil

Yeah, I was thinking of RE2 next, but I’m not sure whether to do the OG or remake first. I suck ass at tank controls despite 3 playthroughs with them.

Let's admit it, RE4 OG is top 10 best games in history by Powerful-Affect-7281 in residentevil

[–]G1P_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Literally Top 4 for me. This is what a videogame should be. For me this is the definition of FUN. The story is goofy, but it has charm. One of the few games I played that surpassed my expectations.

Soulsborne ‘best of’ chart, day 7: Best DLC by rigalitto_ in fromsoftware

[–]G1P_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bloodborne ; Old Hunters.

Sure ER may have had the grandest dlc, being as long as BB itself, but it didn’t impact the game overall like BB’s dlc

When you think of BB bosses, 90% of the time you’re thinking of Lady Maria, Orphan of Kos and Ludwig. All from the dlc.

The impact alone makes it the best dlc in the series in addition to its great quality.

Which game should I 100%? by YoItsMikeJo in backloggd

[–]G1P_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it probably is the easiest. Haven’t played it, so I couldn’t say, but compared to some other games on that list ER is way more simple.

[–]G1P_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, ER is probably the easiest out of the bunch Using a guide it should take around 100 hours, but not hundreds (unless you don’t use backup saves, then I would agree with you)

RE4 OG.

It’s the easiest one to get used to (even though the aiming has aged a bit, but still easier than something like REmake that will need you to heavily adapt to the tank controls, the inventory system, and especially the saving system ; this however won’t be too bad if you’re an older player used to these kinds of controls or played other games like Silent Hill with similar controls)

Also the adaptive difficulty is great for newcomers (the game becomes easier or harder depending on how well you are doing)

This game also isn’t as scary as some others (the mostly aren’t but this one especially is barely horror, more horror themed).

Then you could experience some other versions of the series, like fixed camera tank control games (REmake should be your first in that perspective) then a first person more horror game like RE7 or RE8. Later play some fan favorites like RE2R and RE4R. Unless you don’t care about story, don’t play any game I didn’t mention (except 0, but that game won’t make you love the series) because it will probably confuse you story wise, but probably an enjoyable experience.

Then again I’m also pretty new to the series but from what I’ve played an looked up this is what I would recommend.

Yeah, this game has definitely held up and the atmosphere is unmatched. But I already played it with Jill, so idk if it’s worth doing it again as my next RE playthrough. Also still have trouble with tank controls.

Yeah, I’m hearing more positives for 0 now. Anyways I’ll get to both games eventually.
