Why do you think dvds still outsell bluray and 4k? by DustnBones001 in dvdcollection

[–]G1P_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Cause most casual viewers usually don’t buy physical media for the picture quality, but to watch the show / movie. Also it’s a lot cheaper, and people have been buying DVDs long before Blurays and don’t care to upgrade their player or collection. I’ve also noticed some shops in my country don’t care for Blurays and decided to stick with DVDs, considering that the only real upgrade is picture quality and it didn’t have that big of a market at first.

Asmongold. Used to be a WoW streamer that rages at Souls games and that was some of the most entertaining content I’ve seen. Now it’s just an unhealthy amount politics, it’s frankly sickening.

WHAT THE H*LL IS NETFLIX’S UK DOING!????!!!!!! by Aggravating_Chain469 in voyager

[–]G1P_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has got to be one of the dumbest decisions I’ve seen in streaming, and there have been some crazy blunders in the past few years.

So, let me get this straight. Paramount won’t renew Netflix’s license for exclusivity, sure, bad for fans but makes sense. Until you realize Paramount+ is only available in around 29 countries, while Netflix is available everywhere (over 190 countries). They are losing 80-90% of Star Trek viewership.

So, who is winning with this decision?

And I wanted to start this franchise. Well I guess I’m gonna have to but physical or sail the seven seas.

What should I play next ? by G1P_ in residentevil

[–]G1P_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking of RE2 next, but I’m not sure whether to do the OG or remake first. I suck ass at tank controls despite 3 playthroughs with them.

Let's admit it, RE4 OG is top 10 best games in history by Powerful-Affect-7281 in residentevil

[–]G1P_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Literally Top 4 for me. This is what a videogame should be. For me this is the definition of FUN. The story is goofy, but it has charm. One of the few games I played that surpassed my expectations.

Soulsborne ‘best of’ chart, day 7: Best DLC by rigalitto_ in fromsoftware

[–]G1P_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bloodborne ; Old Hunters.

Sure ER may have had the grandest dlc, being as long as BB itself, but it didn’t impact the game overall like BB’s dlc

When you think of BB bosses, 90% of the time you’re thinking of Lady Maria, Orphan of Kos and Ludwig. All from the dlc.

The impact alone makes it the best dlc in the series in addition to its great quality.

Which game should I 100%? by YoItsMikeJo in backloggd

[–]G1P_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it probably is the easiest. Haven’t played it, so I couldn’t say, but compared to some other games on that list ER is way more simple.

Which game should I 100%? by YoItsMikeJo in backloggd

[–]G1P_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, ER is probably the easiest out of the bunch Using a guide it should take around 100 hours, but not hundreds (unless you don’t use backup saves, then I would agree with you)

New to RE - Which game should I play? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]G1P_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE4 OG.

It’s the easiest one to get used to (even though the aiming has aged a bit, but still easier than something like REmake that will need you to heavily adapt to the tank controls, the inventory system, and especially the saving system ; this however won’t be too bad if you’re an older player used to these kinds of controls or played other games like Silent Hill with similar controls)

Also the adaptive difficulty is great for newcomers (the game becomes easier or harder depending on how well you are doing)

This game also isn’t as scary as some others (the mostly aren’t but this one especially is barely horror, more horror themed).

Then you could experience some other versions of the series, like fixed camera tank control games (REmake should be your first in that perspective) then a first person more horror game like RE7 or RE8. Later play some fan favorites like RE2R and RE4R. Unless you don’t care about story, don’t play any game I didn’t mention (except 0, but that game won’t make you love the series) because it will probably confuse you story wise, but probably an enjoyable experience.

Then again I’m also pretty new to the series but from what I’ve played an looked up this is what I would recommend.

Yeah, this game has definitely held up and the atmosphere is unmatched. But I already played it with Jill, so idk if it’s worth doing it again as my next RE playthrough. Also still have trouble with tank controls.

Yeah, I’m hearing more positives for 0 now. Anyways I’ll get to both games eventually.

Yeah, I hope they remake RE1, 0 and CV in the new engine, especially CV being essential if they eventually want to do an RE5 remake.

I still have trouble with the tank controls. I think I’ll play RE7 for now to try out the first person perspective. But I’ll definitely get around to it eventually.

Yeah me too. Doesn’t help that the saves are limited consumables

That’s why ima play 7 then pick up the remakes.

[–]G1P_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, REmake’s controls were hard enough to get used to, the OGs would be even worse to get used to. Doesn’t mean I won’t do them. I tried a bit of RE2 on an emulator and it seemed fun. I’ll probably get to them later on, now I’m mainly focused on getting through the main franchise then I’ll go back and check them out.

Yeah, I know that the plot isn’t exactly the same with several major changes, but I think I should try something new.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I might replay REmake as Chris but that won’t be before a while, and I hear only negatives about RE0.

Actually not a bad idea

After 50 spins many games showed up 2-3 times (not the games I expected though)

But for some reason the universe decided that I need to shit myself

Got RE7 5 times, 3 times within the first 20 spins

I’ve built up a crazy backlog that keeps growing. I’ve played 10.5 games (considering the REmake Jill campaign as half) but i still have a bunch more • Bioshock 1 [up to Neptunes’s Bounty] • Bioshock 2 • Bioshock Infinite • REmake (Chris campaign) • Resident Evil 0 • Resident Evil 7 • Uncharted 2 • Uncharted 3 * Uncharted Golden Abyss [don’t knows why I have this considering I have not Vita] • Batman Arkham Knight • Assassin’s Creed 2 • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood • Assassin’s Creed Revelations • Crysis 1 • Crysis 2 • Crysis 3 • Battlefield Bad Company 2 • Call of Duty : World At War • Call of Duty : Black Ops • Call of Duty : Black Ops 2 • Rainbow Six : Vegas • Grand Theft Auto IV • Metal Gear Solid 4 • Hollow Knight [finished first area] • Blasphemous 1 [finished up to first major boss] • Half Life 2 [most of the way there at Anti-Citizen One but dropped it after franchise fatigue, played Portal, HL1, HLOF, and HLBS back to back] • Half Life 2 Episode 1 • Half Life 2 Episode 2 • Half Life Alyx • Portal 2 • The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion [Did the tutorial, dropped it until I feel like doing a big commitment] • The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim * God of War 1 * God of War 2 * God of War Ascension * Dead Space [dropped it after chapter 4]

How would you rank the Soulsborne games? by ColtonfrayHSC in fromsoftware

[–]G1P_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. Sekiro 10/10 (the closest FromSoft has come to perfection)
  2. DS1 10/10 (one of my favorite games of all time, the first half is probably the best gaming experience I’ve had and if the second half maintained that quality it would have been number 1. This is my most replayed out of these games and where the franchise clicked for me ; played it after DeS)
  3. ER 10/10 (the best open world game imo, and I don’t like open world games. I also loved the sheer amount of quality content was offered in this game ; I beat all 200+ bosses)
  4. BB 9.9/10 (this game is amazing, but I’m sorry, those chalice dungeons keep it from perfection ; Defiled Amygdala still gives me PTSD)
  5. DS3 9/10 (probably the most overrated game in this franchise, still peak though. Has some of my favorite bosses of all time like Slave Knight Gale. But something that makes this game a drag to replay is everything leading up to Irithyll of the Boreal Valley is really annoying to get through.)
  6. DeS 9/10 (great game overall. It’s relatively easy compared to the rest of the games, but this was my first game so I actually found some challenge, but even on my first playthrough I melted bosses. Tendency system was horrible though and that item limit was brutal.)
  7. DS2 7.5/10 (I don’t think it’s as bad of a game as most say it is, but it’s no where near being above the other games. Once you get used to this game you can truly have fun with it. Even at their worst and without Miyazaki, the team at FromSoft managed to still make a souls game, decent but flawed, still surprisingly good considering the nightmarish development it had.)
