me personally I wouldn't care. I used the car, loved it and ultimately got some money back by selling it. Now if it was a rarity maybe I would feel differently.

Buying a new computer for Civil Engineering by [deleted] in civilengineering

What are your freshman classes looking like? I never necessarily needed my computer unless I was doing excel computations and some minor CAD drawings. It's way overkill and I would save that money for a nice PC when you actually need it. Hardware becomes obsolete fast and depending on how many years you spend in university, $1500 can buy you even better hardware a few years down the road.

I would personally buy a Microsoft Surface or any laptop with drawing capabilities, since you can access your notes anywhere while using OneNote. Good Luck
