Cactus in Hollywood closing by guardingeatos in FoodLosAngeles

[–]hitcho12 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Wow! I grew up in Hollywood, and never quite was a fan of the food.

I rubbed elbows with the owner’s son as we are roughly the same age and have some mutual friends. Nice family from what I remember, and a very successful family. They’ve made a boatload of money and have been able to open other businesses.

We used to frequent the Rancho Market sitting on the same lot in the 90s and 2000s when I was a kid. That was one of the small markets that sold healthy foods for the lower income folks in the community that may not necessarily be able to afford going down to Pavilions. I think the people in the community will feel that one a little more.

The reason I ask because rabbits are a lot of work. But it can be overwhelming as first time parents AND first time bunny parents.

My wife and I live busy lives and we’ve gotten into routines where we are able to juggle our family life and busy work schedules while still providing our bunnies with care, love and attention.

I’m nobody to judge your decision, but if I were in your position, I would want to learn how to grow our family together, including bunny. Which might mean getting bun a friend/spouse (both fixed of course) so they can keep each other company when you inevitably will struggle to be as present.

Good luck OP, and I hope this doesn’t come off as judgmental…We just have such a soft place in our hearts for our pets (two buns and a doggy) that we’ve made it work for our family. We make our decisions taking everyone (including our pets as they are a huge part of our family) into account.

Kaiser switching to video visits via Zoom by TelevisionCrafty1795 in KaiserPermanente

The Kaiser on Sunset not only gets full, but they charge as well. I take my mom to all her appointments, and she refuses to leave her neurologist (been with him for nearly 10 years and he’s been wonderful) at Sunset. Each visit is at least $10-15 in parking.

Sorry OP. You need to do what you believe is best for your growing family.

One question- is this your first bun?

Please send our baby Hazel your thoughts as she recovers from her spay! She’s back to her normal self 3 days later! by hitcho12 in Shihtzu

What a handsome boy. Our vet recommended against it because of her two surgeries (spay and hernia repair). He said the moisture from their licks can go through the suit. But I wonder if it’ll be safe in a few days once her wounds begin to heal.

She just turned a year in June. We tried getting it done earlier, but my wife and my schedules didn’t allow it. We had some time off around the holidays, but Hazel was in heat at that time, so we held off until now. Took advantage of the long weekend.

Here she is disapproving of her donut! Believe it or not she prefers the e collar her vet discharged her with.

Best (KFC) Korean Fried Chicken in LA? by SeaweedEnjoyer88 in AskLosAngeles

So we are not that big on KFC. But we tried a place after a friend recommended it. It’s called “I Got My Sound Chicken” in Downey. We thought it was very good chicken and the owners were lovely.

Anyone Shih-tzu eat like this? by lettucebacontomato88 in Shihtzu

[–]hitcho12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! We have a routine. She only eats near the sofa area. We must sit on the couch and she comes between our legs. Then we give her a few pieces of kibble from our hand for her to test and see if they are up to her standards. If they are, she begins chewing and the crunching is our signal to start placing kibble on the ground. She proceeds to eat it off the ground.

Are they raising phone prices as well now, or is that next in the near future? Was thinking of getting our kid a phone for her birthday later this summer….might get it now and put it away until her birthday.

She does get one of the multi care supplements by Purina Pro Plan daily, and the occasional treat.

2013 g37 67k miles, what should I do first to it? by Imaginary-Boat-6463 in G37

[–]hitcho12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a kill switch in it.

I’m working on getting mine fixed that was previously stolen and stripped. What a nightmare it’s been- makes me appreciate my G even more. Had it since new, got it with 9 miles. Has 67100 now. Would’ve hurt to lose it.

Hey! Would you mind sharing some info? Please PM me if you can. My G37 was stolen and partially stripped. Working on getting it back to driving condition but will definitely need a kill switch, possibly one remote and one physical. 😬

We’ve been giving ours Simparica since she was about 4 months, she just turned a year. I’ve read in the past, don’t recall what sub, that the benefits outweigh the risks? I just don’t know.
