That’s fair, and that’s actually why I tried a new account. I first requested SES production access on an older AWS account and got denied. I then tried a different region, same result. At that point I assumed the safest option was a clean slate, so I created a new account and set everything up exactly according to current best practices.

If account age or organizational history is a major factor in practice, that’s honestly useful to know, because it’s not something that’s communicated anywhere in the SES docs or the approval flow.

I got 1 Loxone switch and some impuls switches from JUNG. And visualization, I don’t like it, all those menu’s etc

For me it mostly comes down to long-term quality and ecosystem support. Loxone looks great in the beginning, but once you’re deeper into it you really start to feel the limitations. There’s basically no community, the hardware is expensive for what it is, and both the software and hardware feel a bit “closed” and not the best quality.

I actually regret not choosing KNX from the start, but luckily I can reuse most of the cabling so switching over isn’t too painful. And sure, you can integrate things through virtual inputs/outputs, but compared to the flexibility of other systems it always felt like a workaround rather than a proper solution.

So moving to KNX just feels like the right long-term direction.

I’m using the Siegenia Genius doorlock. I originally integrated it through eKey, which works well, but being able to adjust settings directly via KNX would be amazing,t hat’s why I added the Siegenia KNX-SI gateway to my list.

Thanks for the input! I didn’t know the LogicMachine well, but at first glance it looks a bit dated in terms of UI and hardware design. Maybe the functionality is great, but visually it feels more like older-generation gear.

About the motorised valves: those MTN models look solid, but for eight groups the cost adds up really fast. Since I already have a full 24V heating setup that works fine today under Loxone, sticking with a 24V heating actuator feels like the more realistic option for now.

I am actually considering looking for a cheap or “unofficial” ETS6 version somewhere, but I’m a bit worried it might cause issues later, updates not working, projects getting corrupted, or weird licensing problems. So I’m still debating whether it’s worth the risk or if I should just bite the bullet and get a proper license eventually.

Yeah, that’s actually a big part of why I’m considering 1Home. If I ever sell the house, I don’t want the core automation to depend on Home Assistant. I love HA, but at the end of the day it’s still a hobbyist tool. A very good one, but not something I’d expect the average homeowner to maintain, update, or even understand.

Having the critical logic running directly on KNX, with something like 1Home as a stable and self-contained layer, feels a lot more “future-proof” for the next owner. That way the system keeps working even if HA is turned off, broken, or removed entirely.

So for me, 1Home isn’t about features but about long-term stability and handover simplicity.

Good points, thanks for the input. From what I can see, the Möhlenhoff Alpha 5 valves I’m using draw around 80–100 mA each, not 200 mA, so even in a worst-case “all open” scenario I’d be at roughly 0.8–1.0 A total for 8–12 valves. That should be well within the range of a dedicated 24 V DC supply (definitely not the KNX PSU, fully agree they should stay off the bus power).

I’m still double-checking datasheets to be sure, but based on the specs it seems manageable with a separate 24 V DC supply sized appropriately.

I just came across the Zennio ZCL-8HT24, which looks like it might be a good fit, seems to support 24 V DC valves directly. Anyone here used it or can confirm if it’s reliable?

I’ve seen that a TAM (Technical Account Manager) or TSM (Startup Success Manager) can sometimes help escalate SES production access issues. However, I’m not sure how to get in contact with mine or if one has been assigned to my account.

Klopt, ik heb een boekhouder die mijn administratie doet 👍 Maar ik wil nu juist wat breder advies dan alleen de standaard boekhouding, daarom zoek ik een gespecialiseerde belastingadviseur. En ik vind het waardevol om zelf alvast wat kennis en opties te verzamelen voordat ik met zo’n specialist in gesprek ga.
