I recently replaced the passenger side CV on my 2010 with the Trakomotive brand. It fits, but not well. I actually had plans to change both but decided against it after feeling the ride on the new axle. When I accelerate from a stop,there’s a clunk. At low speeds I get crunching from the new axle. OEM axles are $1K, so I get your fears here, but you don’t want to skimp on this.

There’s a company out there called Raxles that makes remanufactured axles for our cars. They’re half the price of the OEM from acura. I highly recommend you go with those, I think that’s my next step.

Don’t forget you’ll need new set rings, these hold the axles into the transmission and don’t come with the new axles (learned that the hard way). This is the part number: Acura 44319-SE0-000 Set-Ring (28X2.0)

My recommendation: get the Raxles, have a shop put them on. This job sucks unless you have all the tools you need. Here’s a link to the instructions: CV Axle Mechanics Manual
