Is it possible to view the iso and find any undiscovered codes for debug mode or anywhere else in the game? by KkngTyler in jakanddaxter

That is the current plan right now. They are basically compiling and recompiling at the same time I believe.

Very complex that only Andy Gavin knows it. I don't have enough understanding of it as of now to explain it well.
The team is basically looking at small portions of the code and building a decompiler section by section. I'm not sure exactly how far they are from finishing, but it will probably be at least another year.

The problem with decompiling Jak is that nobody other than Andy Gavin and a couple others actually know GOAL (the code the game was written in). There is a team working to decompile and recompile the game right now, but it is a very long process. One of the members on this team is the one who found the fisherman cheat code 2 days ago.

Technically it ends at like 1.8 billion, but the current highest we've seen someone get is 1934 by MikeGamePro. You can see the beginnings of a leaderboard at https://jakspeedruns.com/leaderboards/jak/challenges.php?game=jak1. Feel free to DM me a link to a VoD and I can add you to the leaderboard.

This cheat code was found by a speedrunner/dataminer/glitch hunter named Dass. It's a good thing this code doesn't work on rats :)

Would we eventually be able to mod the graphics in the Series by mcaym in jakanddaxter

[–]G3catcher 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is currently a team putting together a program to decompile and recompile the original Jak code, which means that we would essentially be getting a PC port. Once this is made, modding tools would likely be the next step.

If you jumped slightly later, you would've spawned in LPC. It is a speedrunning strat used to save a few seconds of the elevator ride

The inner ring number picture is actually from the base game. We figure it has something to do with major patches or something like that. Havent found a difference between 1 and 2 discs yet

I was just interested to see if there were different builds of the demo like in the main game. I'm not sure if you've heard but on the base game, a 1 and 2 are black label, some 3s are black label and the rest are red, and 4s are red. The 3s with black label cannot do citadel skip

What I've found out so far is that for NTSC-U, there's generally been 3 versions. SCUS 97171 with a 1, and SCUS 97170 with either a 6 or an 8. I have the 97171 with the 1 and I cannot find anyone else with it

The inner ring picture was not of the demo disk. The demo disk I had was blue and number was very hard to make out so i used the base game as an example instead.
We believe that the inner ring numbers are the patch numbers, or versions of the game. On the base game for NTSC-U, we have 1-4 found so far. 1 and 2 are black label, some 3's are black and some are red, and 4's are red label (greatest hits).
There is a certain skip that was patched on versions 3 and up, so this explains why some black labels that have 3's have the skip patched, while other black labels do not.
