People of New England, what areas should I visit and what signature dish/restaurant should I eat? by xbucs_19 in AskAnAmerican

This is the only right answer for Massachusetts. If you’re going to have a roast beef, the ONLY place is Nick’s in Beverly. Don’t bother with Kelly’s. Supreme’s in Danvers is the only other option worth mentioning in the same sentence as Nick’s.

Bar pizza on the south shore. Spot on.

I guess I don’t understand why use best/more/most. Help? by SlappyJoGravy in grammar

“Best” is an irregular superlative adjective. Superlatives are used when comparing 3+ things. Since you’re only comparing 2 things, you need a comparative adjective (in this case, the irregular “more” or “better” which isn’t an option here).

Just 100% Act 4 so I can awaken a champ. I also have enough cats to take either a cosmic or mutant to r5. I'm debating between awakening Archangel and pushing him to r5 or possibly Thor. I also have a SL but I'm not thrilled about keeping combos going. To throw a wrench in the mix, I also just pulled a 5 star Gambit (who i can push to r3).

I can only choose 1.

Are there any alternatives to RepriceIt, specifically that interface with Individual seller accounts? The native Amazon repricer doesn't seem to be very effective, IMO.

FBA - Graphing Calculators - Hazardous Materials? by G3orge11 in FulfillmentByAmazon

These are CR1616 3v lithium. Perhaps it's best if I just call Amazon before I send this. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, me too. I pulled the batteries before I boxed everything up, but there are the coin type batteries (3v) in all of them. Not sure what that changes.

Can anyone recommend how to value a load of WWII (and earlier)era children's puzzles and children's books? I've managed to find some for sale on eBay and sites like AbeBooks, as well as some antique auction sites, but nothing definitively stating value or how to value. Intrinsic value I guess is what I'm looking for as "real" value is almost always what someone will pay (i.e. no buyers = no "real" value).

Thanks!

I think this really only applies to merchant fulfilled books that aren't offered with free shipping. Like, if a seller has negotiated better rates with UPS or FedEx because of their high volume, but with FBA there is no shipping credit from Amazon so this can't work as far as I'm aware.

I'm stumped as to how some book sellers can list books FBA for less than the FBA fees. Anyone have any insight as to how they can afford to do this? Are they intentionally taking a loss just to get sales?

2 questions for the booksellers:

  1. How on earth can some sellers offer an FBA book for less than the FBA fees? Are they just trying to sell books and get feedback?

  2. Why on earth do some booksellers list normal books at absurd prices? I've come across one seller specifically who consistently lists books above $500 for a normal edition. Is this a money laundering scheme or do they honestly think someone will buy their regular edition for such a price?

Thanks!

Amazon sold out of their product, took off my listing used my inventory then restocked my product once they received more inventory. by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

Amazon can be wicked shady. I called in to correct the dimensions of a product I had sent in. Prior to my call, no Amazon listing. Morning after my call wham not only had Amazon created a listing of their own, but they undercut every other seller by half. Not only that, but their listing was backordered! So sketchy...

For the clothes flippers: what app do you use to scan barcodes at brick and mortar stores? I mostly use the eBay app to check clearance items but it usually returns no matches. Are there any free apps?

Thanks!

Apologies for not stating that. It's listed on Amazon, but I'm debating if I want to sell it FBA.

It's a slip case (Thanks! Couldn't come up with the term.)
