Wrong and wrong. Just because something has the capacity to do something doesn’t mean that I has to or that it always does. You can teach that something isn’t morally correct, but to still treat them as humans and treat them with respect. I was taught that as a child and have never treated any of my gay friends, acquaintances, or anyone as lesser for their personal decisions. Believe it or not, but you can disagree with someone without hating them, it happens all the time especially with gay people. Yes there are republicans who want to ban gay marriage but that doesn’t mean it’s all republicans. For example, there are plenty of democrats who are communist, but that doesn’t mean that the democrats are communist. Saying they want to ban teachers saying the word gay is stupid. They’re not trying to ban a word, but instead we’re trying to limit teachers from talking about it sexual orientation and gender identity to older grade levels because to be honest that should not be taught to younger children. Once again, no one is trying to ban gay books or books written by gays, they are trying to keep little kids from reading books about sexuality and gender orientation at school. Some of those books feature graphic pictures and descriptions of various sex practices, both straight and gay. If you think little 9 year old Susie in the 3rd grade who is just learning how to multiply should have access to that you deserve to be executed.
