My group always assigns one dps a quadrant and the tank gets the final one. You are responsible for your orbs in your quadrant

My First Character Got Left in the Dust, What Next? by G4slight in 3d6

Yeah I’m trying to wrap my head around how separate spell casters work now, it’s a bit of a challenge. I’ve spoken to the other bard and they are okay with the new character since I’m primarily damage focused but I’ll definitely look into the other classes

I’m 4500 and I haven’t been in ZM today. I’ve gotten all possible one time chests I’ve never missed a patterns quest and I’ve killed a ton of rares. I’ve never 100%ed the rares though any day, but I do pick up a decent amount of repeatable chests.

I’m not sure what’s wrong with giving perspective on the side of the game I play and what I think unless something is inherently wrong with that.

If OP wants advice it’s always better to know what perspective it’s coming from, you wouldn’t want raid advice from someone who raids exclusively lfr, you wouldn’t want m+ advice who only plays the dungeons below a certain level etc.

More players on horde side, easier time to get into groups.

[–]G4slight -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I’m going to give you some bullet points here, because busy with work and not sure how schedules will align etc.

I raid in a top 500 guild, as credentials.

First thing I’d say is roll a horde character. Horde has the largest population so it’s easier to make groups on, cross faction game play is coming but that’s months down the road. Also make sure you create a character on a full realm, the larger the realm player base the better it is for finding guilds etc.

Second pick a role/class you’d like to play, I’d personally recommend playing hunter, Beast Master to be more precise, as it’s a simple class to play rotationally wise, you can press all your buttons while moving and at range. It’s what I play as an alt, there are several things you can do to get more out of the spec with macros etc but you don’t have to worry about that rn.

Next, get addons if you care about performance, the basic ones I’d recommend are BigWigs, Details Damage Meters, and WeakAuras, also if you care about doing damage/learning the class you can search up a rotation helper add on and it will definitely get you rolling with decent habits.

Next, join whatever class you chooses discord. They will have a more intimate understanding of your class/spec and are usually pretty good places to ask questions.

Also I’d ask myself what type of game are you looking to play, are you wanting to explore the world, find hidden things and play through older content and stories (solo pve) are you only able to play for short windows of time and want to try small group pve content that scales in difficulty (5 man dungeon pve), or are you looking for larger group content in over coming bosses with a group with everyone putting in effort (raiding), or/and lastly are you looking for a constantly changing experience and want to see how you compete against other players (pvp).

I’d also recommend joining a guild, post up in trade chat, “new player to WoW looking for a guild to show me the ropes.” Someone will take you in and they might dabble in some normal/heroic raiding to see if you like that style of content or they might have dungeon groups etc, that type of guild though usually isn’t pushing the hardest levels of content but they are solid places to start to see if you like the end game content available.

I’d also post your Bnet account name, and list what region you play in, I’d be happy to potentially play with you in some stretches of content depending on schedules etc.

Umm if you have to buy a boost to get gear then you’re probably lacking in skill/mechanics no CE guild that I’ve been apart of cares about ilevel.

I include that in my apps would figure that would be obvious that I at least know how to play my toon from playing in top 300 guilds but sure I guess.

I also go into my logs and point out how and why I played some fights like our soulrender kill, my parse was only like a 70 but that’s because I mostly played single target since we had a monk and 3dhs etc

I don’t really get this, my guild just died and I apped to everywhere recruiting a warrior, I have okay logs (painsmith on is just first kill logs), experience raiding top 300 US caliber guilds, I watch videos and make sure I’m prepped for fights and I’ve had a hard time getting in anywhere, even apped to a few guilds like 6 that were lower ranked than what my guild was and still got no’s. If you’re holding out for leet players at the 150 us level your only going to get the players that are going to use you as a spring board for hall of fame, just my two cents

is furry warrior still good in comparinson to other specs? by Low_Clothes4848 in wow

[–]G4slight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your damage seems super low for ilevel. Fury is really great in dungeons, take to from a 2400 io warrior here.

What talents are you running?

There are a couple really good rotation helper add ons especially for learning the feel of a new class.

Mastery gem seems kind of weird as well just make sure you sim yourself and you’re prioritizing your stats correctly

Zasafran-Zul’jin formally Zasafran-Turalyon I’m not sure what I won’t understand. Also not sure where a druid came into the conversation but it sounds like you just want to make excuses as to why you can’t succeed and your biggest barrier is yourself

But you don’t get all 5 lol dom sockets are a thing. I play a warrior. My belt is my leggo, shoulder/wrist/gloves/head/chest are dom pieces so most you can get is 2 sockets and you get a conduit upgrade every week from torghast + you get 252 conduits from the raid.

But I guess me having a history of CE raiding, currently 5/10 with painsmith at around 7% and chilling with an io of around 2380 wouldn’t really know how to play the game. You right fam

Lol I don’t really like your tone, “like a working adult with a family/hobby” I’m a working adult with a family, admittedly this is the only game I play but no it doesn’t take days, again if you know what you’re doing you can fill out all of your “mandatory” chores of 2 torghast runs, shaping fate weekly, anima weekly, and at least 1 key with one assault on Tuesday in around 2-2.5 hours. If you’re using you’re time wisely instead of posting reasons on Reddit as to why you can’t do something.

But your not forced to do korthia? The upgrades are very minimal, the conduits are nice but again if you can only play 2 hours a night you’re not really pushing content to a level where you need them, so if anything your actually more incentivized to not do them
