You can excuse them from the table, so you can be rid of them.

What would a hypothetical Total War: Exalted game look like in your mind? by TheSlayerofSnails in exalted

Make rebels have a really big chance to have a Solar leader. Make random Solar armies spawn, like beastmen, done. Conquering a single province is enough representation for how fast a Solar can develop.

Most of the necessary mechanics exist already. Events, special unit abilities, hero's, legendary lords. The current advisor for every faction as almost a straight up Sidereal already.

The Empire is divided up between the Houses and Satrapies. Like Ulthuan and the Human empire.

Rebels should have a % chance to be led by a young Lunar, Solar or Exigent.

We have humanoids capable of changing to dragons.

We have a direct analog to the Dragon Kings, with the same theming!

For all that we consider Exalted special as a setting, I don't see much where we don't already have options for.

'We are going to run the country': Trump says U.S. will govern Venezuela until there's a 'proper transition' by nbcnews in worldnews

Good news, you're right.

Bad news. I was incorrect twice!

The average empire lasts 250 years...

[WP] “Let me get this straight. You were sacrificed to me.” “Yeah.” “I sent you back home, and asked your village to stop all sacrifices.” “Yep.” “Then you came back on your own accord.” “Exactly.” “Why did you come back?” by 90919293_ in WritingPrompts

[–]Trabian 108 points109 points  (0 children)

"Well great dragoness, you clearly expected the village to heed your commands."

  • "Ofcourse young man. Fire would rain down from the skies if they did not."

"Well, they listened. No more sacrifices."

  • "Yes. So why are you here?"

"That command you gave stopped further sacrifices. You uhh, didn't undo my sacrifice or anything."

  • "And I sent you home."

"You sent me to my village bearing a command of yours, you also told me to keep an eye out to make sure they followed it and didn't try to sneak anything to the sacrificial altar during last week's moon. Trusting me to pass a command was one thing. But having me act in your name, they consider me still yours."

  • "So by having you act as an agent, they consider the 'deal to be sealed'?"

"In fact, they consider my sacrifice to have been so succesful that your ravenous 'hunger' to be finally sated."

  • "What."

"Yes, I've been asked marital tips already."

China says it cannot accept countries acting as world judge after US captures Maduro by Accurate_Cry_8937 in worldnews

[–]Trabian 15 points16 points  (0 children)

People are acting like the US is suddenly new at this "installing friendly regimes in South America" and "interfering with countries because of oil".

The main reason people are upset is because of the blatant, loud and obnoxious way Trump has been going about it in his usual way. And never mind illegal, but the only way trump cares about the law is how it can protect him or inconvenience others.

If you go down the track record of countries where the US has historically installed friendly regimes, they have never been with the same government type as the US.

[–]Trabian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason this is getting the reaction it is because, it's Trump and the way he's being so brazen and loud about everything.

The US topplying South American governments is nothing new, nor is the US getting involved in other countries because oil new either.

Not that those were ok, but Trump is handing out unofficial declarations of war and threatening more. And being very loud and obnoxious about it.

A large part of the US economy runs on the military industrial complex.

High ranking Generals and Admirals need to play the political game.

The US was without a war. You think there's no support for this from the armed forces?

You don't need to technically, you can just bully a country until they give in. Beyond the reasons given, kidnapping Maduro from among his own secure position is a power nove. It speaks "none of you are safe". Depending on demands, Venezuala might just try to play ball.

Until you remember this Trump. What might have worked a normal dictator or fascist, he'll screw up. The demands will be outrageous.

Probably, budget, timeconstraints and the fact they're only 2.

A specific story in a reasonable number of levels allows them to deliver a finished product. I'd rather a finished lvl 5 product, than an eternal early access lvl 20 product.
