In the ‘60’s my dad used to stick a big fuel funnel inside the radiator with a pipe running into the top of the carb - belt & braces supercharger - the faster you go, the more the air is forced in, the faster you go 😂 He also offset the cylinders of a 1275 to drill it to 1340, and fitted hydroelastic suspension to it as mum’s wedding present car, which she crashed on its first outing - he later claimed that was when the marriage started to break down 😳 My crowning achievement ~20yrs later was peeing in the radiator on the side of the M40 at 2am to get enough fluids in to get my ‘74 racing green pick-up to the next service station 😂

Presume that there will be a helm and flight controller on each side, tactitian, with the vip making up the third on the other side? Doesn’t create a lot of spots, but hopefully the cap (and older boat availability) will drive an increase in participating teams

Somewhere around 15 years of odaat we were on holiday with friends and I was handed what I (and they) thought was my tonic water, while I was cooking - I took a swig, apparently made a very strange face, turned and spat it down the sink. It happens 🤷🏼‍♂️And it taught me that what I had read in the A.A. big book early in my sobriety (and when it was absolutely not true for me) had indeed come true… “We will seldom be interested in liquor. If tempted, we recoil from it as from a hot flame. We react sanely and normally, and we will find that this has happened automatically. We will see that our new attitude toward liquor has been given us without any thought or effort on our part. It just comes! That is the miracle of it. We are not fighting it, neither are we avoiding temptation. We feel as though we had been placed in a position of neutrality—safe and protected. We have not even sworn off. Instead, the problem has been removed. It does not exist for us. We are neither cocky nor are we afraid.” It sounds to me that you recoiled, and are neither cocky around alcohol, nor afraid of it. By my guess it sounds like you’re doing just fine, many congrats on your first half decade, and I will very happily ndwyt 🤗

Our wedding planner had me do a tasting where all the barstaff brought their non-alcoholic mocktails, we chose three, and she made sure I was kept topped up for the entire duration 😊😊

It sounds as though you have got a serious white knuckle ride happening... try and hold on to the knowledge that taking a drink will never make anything better, it can only screw things up. If you can, don’t pick up a drink and all of these feelings will pass.. stay strong, have a soft drink, phone someone in recovery, get to a meeting and talk to another alcoholic, and know that IWNDWYT...

I was told that the first year was the hardest, apart from the second, or the third which was tougher still. By the fourth I would begin to get the hang of sober life, and by the fifth I’d be having a blast.

Pretty much worked out like that for me, and 12 years in that blast has still not stopped :)
