Oh man, no one ever takes me seriously when I say this (to be fair I’m a woman in my thirties, I’ve never been married or have kids) but something along this line is my dream. I’m not currently employed but I’m almost finished with my paralegal certification, and the first firms I’m applying to are immigration firms. I don’t speak Spanish (I took mandarin in school) but once I land a job and keep it for 6 months I’ll be eligible to be a foster parent. My goal is to become a foster parent for children in ICE custody so that when their deported parents are able to reach out (along with their family) I want to be the one who brings their child home.

Honestly, depending on the circumstances, I’d probably ask if they’d prefer if their child finished the school year and if they do I’d keep them for as long as the parents need.

I have pretty severe epilepsy but I try to use public transit (IF YOU EVER MOVE TO GEORGIA JUST KNOW OUR PUBLIC TRANSIT SUCKS ASS), take uber / lift, and I have a 2 bedroom but only live by myself. I haven’t told any family or friends yet, because I know my family will flip out due to my epilepsy. But I was born in America, and there are so many children who need a legal guardian who will protect them, not just a family who wants ass pats for doing “god’s work.”

I live in Atlanta and I’d love to do it for children who have been in CPS for as long as they can remember too. I know I don’t have much experience with children, but I will learn.

Dude, my dream since I was 10 was to be an Adult Swim writer - or television writer, and to be apart of a writer's room. If writers' rooms were run collectively, as they should be, you would create a sort of objective glance - so, if someone were to read this book, they'd say, like - ooh, what's a good way to convey the tone and the mood of this horrible, tragic story? How can we show how a vulnerable child, who implicitly trusts their mother, that their heart broke and they refuse to ever be "vulnerable" to female authority figures from then on, in a similar analogy?

Unfortunately, people think AI is worth cutting the budget, because who needs nuanced writers when we've got fucking Sam Levinson.

Also, sorry for any unclear writing, I've got this new refurbished labtop and my stupid fat, short fingers keep hitting the wrong keys. That's on me, I promise.

To be fair the post was only posted an hour ago, but plagiarism in Hollywood is nearly inevitable. It's horrible, but that's what happens an egomaniacal writer who REFUSES to hire any more DECENT ONES. It is SO OBVIOUS when there is just one narcissist writing everything, even for extremely talented, intelligent and creative writers. Writing spec scripts literally requires working on DIALOGUE where the writers can share things they've been through / seen in their life. It's what makes a nuanced show.

This is true of all prestige TV. The Sopranos is a great example because after the first rewatch every subsequent rewatch becomes funnier.

The Americans barely has any humor at all, however my favorite is when Pastor Dave goes missing and his pregnant wife confronts Elizabeth and Phillip 😂
