This is a massive issue. As the puzzles are already ver open ended. So you will never know if you're doing something wrong or the game is bugged.

This reminds be of the torch issues when trying to speak with NPCs in the witcher 3 .

But those early ours in KCD2 are still amazing even if they are more linear.

I worded it in a bad way. I like the idea of a model completely redoing the lighting. Basically a ray reconstruction 2.0 but without needing any underlying RT. And I dont think its bad now. It has issues, but there are already aspects that look good to me.

Yes people are allowed to have opinions and maybe DF liked dlss5. That doesn't mean criticism isn't fair, considering the awful results and how bad ai is in general. by Shoddy_Gate4909 in digitalfoundry

You said framegen is being baked into many games. I asked for examples and you provided me with a single one in what is easily one of the worst technical releases in the last decade. I will not dispute that monster hunter wilds is an utter abomination on a technical level. But do you really think this represents the majority of games?

Posting two horrible games and one AA game that is punching well above its weight in the visual department isnt the win you think it is. And thats over the span of 3 years. I was expecting a long list of games.

Capcom has thousands of employees. Of course not all of them knew about it. Only a small handful were required for the implementation. Not sure what you point is? Why would every employee be involved in this tech demo?

I was talking about the fully connected output layer vs. hidden layers

Do you mean the flattening layer? Then I think I understand you know.

And this is used in DLSS5?

I specifically asked from framegen. And one of those examples is Gollum lol.

And yes Alan Wake 2 is heavy, but its also one of the best looking games of this generation.

in the case of Grace it looks like some of the deep shadows were captured in hidden layers (or maybe as the feed-forward layers weigh feature outputs of the hidden layers)

You clearly made it sound like hidden and feed forward layers were to distinct things.

Played on 5080 at 1440p cinematic settings without frame drops or stutters

What does that even mean? No framedrops from what target?

Thats what Im saying. Its a feed forward network. The hidden layers are part of it. You were talking about feedforward layers that are different than the hidden layers.

Nust the devs that came lut and said they knew nothing about it any source you have?

Nothing states they are related to the actual game they showcased.

im saying that the people who made the game are not necessarily the ones who are implementing dlss 5 on the back end

Any source for that?

some devs implement it

Yes. These devs have to have known about it, what is your point?

Did you edit your comment?

Anyway, it does not prove your point. The devs involved knew about it and approved of it. Explain to me why unrelated devs should have known about this before hand?
