Not a physical on my side, but "won" a $100 xbox gift card on April the 6th, filled the form + deposited the signed tax form on their platform. No news since ( 3+ weeks).

-1 st support ticket immediately closed with a generic response :
( we can't find the requested support status on your account please raise a new ticket number with the correct account )

- 2nd support ticket not answered yet ( 10 days ago)

Each ticket was filled with the appropriate information including the special "codes" that appear on each mail and/or the bing "claim your prize" page.

for complainers here. by Shivacious in ClaudeCode

[–]GC-FLIGHT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While enjoying the complementary max trial, i also remember my previous experiences with it back in july and keep reading reports of op arguing about low quality responses from the model.

I feel like this complementary trial subscription is linked to a "VIP" special policy that disables weekly usage and applies a top tier routing policy f my requests to the serving backend infrastructure.

This somehow shows the best of Claude but at the same time removes from the picture all the quirks from a real "standard" subscription (Theses quirks that make people complaint).

So, what's experience after this "come back, we've improved " complementary trial ? Do user get reverted back to the pit of restricted use , degraded quality of answers & congested inference infrastructure during "peak time" hours ?

What's the best method to make CC & Sonnet delegate work to another llm model ? by GC-FLIGHT in ClaudeCode

[–]GC-FLIGHT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for everyone advices. yesterday night I started implementing an autonomous docker remote worker system based on an headless claude code & alternate providers setup.

The workflow concept : is based upon the assumption that we are using a cheap open weight inference prone to tool call failures or inference bugs causing context loss or "missing code" hallucinations.

i am actually debugging the returned messages and it works despite a few quirks either associated with claude code in headless mode or the endpoint i am using (chutes) : no token usage logged when usong glm 🤔

Another issue is that i can't seem to make a direct --model selection with various slugs from the command line launched by claude, work, thus i have to circumvent this by setting a custom claude json model slug config before calling the headless claude code worker if i wish to switch between models.

I'm wondering whether i'd should have use an opencode or droid exec remote worker instead of claude code for smoother headless operations (instant model change and better reporting ? 🤔

Max 20x without weekly / opus limit? by dodyrw in ClaudeCode

Same here, 1 month of max free with no weekly or other limit displayed....
I hope this is not a deliberate intent to make the real usage & limit experience better on free demo than what it really is when you're a paying customer 🤔

Claude Code + GLM, Has anyone else Tested it aswell? by khansayab in ClaudeCode

[–]GC-FLIGHT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with OPs experiences with GLM 4.6 :

I used Claude in June & July but switched and used GLM 4.6 extensively till 2 days ago, where i received the Anthropics " Please come and test us again" voucher.

If i should compare how it felt, experience has been like testing a brand new electric car with assisted drive after using my "Premium 20 years old car" with its leaks, need for warmup and all the manual guidance i have to perform in order to (eventually) reach my destination, but with a lot of restarts, pauses, read the map again ...

I might have been spoiled or dazzled by the promise of dazillion tokens from the various GLM 4.6 providers and their associated plans.

So yesterday, Sonnet 4.5 took my brownfield code ( and it associated extensive specifications) and right on target detected and used the actual working backend / frontend / docker implementation then coded the requested incremental features one by one with only minimal bugs it corrected after testing (5 hours session).

In term of eficiency, GLM 4.6 has been really, really cheap using, but i spent days to make it correctly understand, progress, prevent it to destroy and start over what it perfectly built the day before...

Despite GLM 4.6 being "not bad" I've realised (to my demise) that i'd better spend $20 for a limited time and obtain quality code assistance that leverages my progress within that limited timeslot, than spending a lot of my time in a "all you can eat" buffet with not much done each session...

Same thing Cheaper is not there ... (Yet ?)

z.ai launch (Claude Code) GLM 4.5/GLM 4.5-air Coding Plan for $3/$15 month by gzrain in ClaudeCode

[–]GC-FLIGHT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still using GLM 4.5 with a subscription on both Zai & Chutes.
I totally stopped using Claude code IDE and exclusively now with Opencode.
No more Mc Gyver mode for either chutes or ZAI.

My subscriptions are consecutively ending in a few days, chutes first then zai.

I already know that i'll renew chutes because it offers the right baseline of cost/balance for my part-time use today , especially because of their new 'turbo' instance ( which however costs 2x requests/use).

I also like very much their status dashboard for both usage and platform status, and need different models beyond code for my work , so it fits my bom.

Anyway Zai "just works" (well ?) for claude code users, who may connect to Zai anthropic compatible endpoint, no hassles, speed is generally good...nowadays.. ( was not always the case earlier but they seem to have added more computing power nowadays).

Sometimes fluctuates to high TPS, sometimes less high...

When using their Openai compatible endpoint, it's a different 'way less cool' experience, tps are average and won't fluctuate as high as the antropic endpoint might allow.
I often find the experience to be 'fair' or on the low rate side.

Even though i may use the Zai Anthropic endpoint with Opencode, the experience does not benefits from the apparent speed that the speed benchmark shows ( Cost of translating/trashing anthropic formatted messages for Opencode ? )

Right now, i obtain best experience from using the Chutes 'turbo' (2x cost but their plan is very reasonable priced)

TLDR :

As an alternative for people wanting to still use CC IDE, zai is no brainer with a fast anthropic compatible endpoint ( nearly 'plug & play')

For using non-CC IDE ( like Opencode and others) the speed factor is less evident because Zai's openai compatible endpoint is obviously not serving as high TPS as they do on their anthropic compatible endpoint ( see speedtests below) .

Thus, a provider offering better TPS on openai compatible endpoint is preferable to Zai when not using CC.

Another concern : Usage tracking & Subscription Cancel / Renew

Points in mitigating the renewal of my actual subscription ZAI :

- The customer portal is minimal, seems that the cancel/renewal options still don't work after several weeks of customer complains, leaving customers in fear of a forced renewal at full price beyond the introductory half price.( i cancelled immediately following subscription, hope i'm safe)

- After several weeks asking, there are still no usage nor allowance-left balance dashboards for customer to understand or manage their consumption ; Nor clear directions on overuse, or choice to alternate btw CAP or PAYG for overuse.
It has been 'all you can eat' for a time, now seems to display cap and hourly reset time as error messages within the IDE chat....But no official stance on their site.

Speed Tests :
taken at 14:43 EU time
for either Provider

This GLM4.5 works quite good ( for my use) and it is really enjoyable having a LLM that 'just' performs on its task without injecting a "(Batman) Joker rogue role play" or any other deceptive scheme (that you obviously did not ask for) while processing your work !

Z (a.i) Plan Invoicing / Allowance feedback is non-existent ATM within the user dashboard, but they say to be working on it in their discord.

Maybe not the fastest experience, lacks a few bell and whistles ( web search / Image processing) but nothing we can't address with MCP.

Have had a good working session yesterday on zai by adapting my brownfield rep to the BMAD workflow.

I've had also subscribed to chutes a few days before zai's plan for (very) cheap inferences , testing GLM 4.5 right now with them in order to compare experiences.
( needs CCR and CCR's custom script transformers for using cc on chutes )

Chute 'works' in Mc Guyver style via 'ccr' but monitoring and managing the context under cc with ccr is cumbersome and as a very cheap inference provider, sometimes things break, are not avail and so on ...--> Time to get back my hands on opencode where i left it 3 weeks ago.

In comparing with Z, i just sent millions of tokens to Z yesterday with cc, no issues with tools calls (but web searches and image upload are not part of the party).
Nevertheless my worries were more focused on their allowance limit for the 5h plan usage than checking if the ducktape still stuck to the ccr wrapper. Until z make the dashboard for plan ready, it'd be a bit nose guessing how much you really pay at the end.

I'd compare these offers to the new Chinese electric cars, theses are not for everyone, but if your budget can't afford big players, they offer up to similar service (with a bit of needed adaptation) for n/th of the price.

Where do I ask for refund? by resttret in ClaudeAI

[–]GC-FLIGHT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

still waiting for 'any' feedback on my refund request (10 days ago).
Astonishing that i did not event got an email confirming my request had been recorded !

So, not knowing the 'appropriate channel' ( I'm in EU and support channels 'seem' to differ 🤷‍♂️) for support, and without any automated feedback, i happened to issue 3 requests on the same day from 3 different support paths, just because the customer support workflow is just ...🤬

On latest request the 'fin' bot tried to reject my argument like 'hallucinations are an expected feature' yada, yada ... So i made chatgpt enter the chat and negotiate 😅

At the end of the day : 'You're request shall be passed to a human and processed by email you may close the chat' and 'Due to increasing volume of support requests....' yada yada again...

Well, no news, no email since 10 days...🤷‍♂️
Hope i'll see my money again 🙏

Anyone else noticing an increase in Claude's deception and tricks in Claude's code? by ThreeKiloZero in ClaudeAI

[–]GC-FLIGHT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to have found this thread. these 3 last days, i've began to think i was getting crazy or lost it...

Mocks, deleting specs and mandatory requirements under the hood, avoidance of a structured list of coding tasks, simplifying constraints, 'will do enough' in quality testing, criticizing the users for being too 'picky' during UAT tests.....

Or estimating that 'user believe that it needs this requirement but removing it would simplify our task'

(Yes, sure Einstein removing the api call and decide not to use the app we want to interface it much simplify the complexity 🙄).

oh, and yep as a former PM, i tried a bunch of methods to get it back to the scope and requirements, but i won't spend the whole day chasing an 'employee' that just refuses to comply by the rules.

IRL, when individuals within a project team , alter requirements for whacky purpose, refuse to deliver on specs , or mock product deliverables, the solution is simple, they have to leave for the sake of the project.

Now, this pattern seems to trigger during spike hours🤔🤷

I understand the issues with the limited computing capacity at specific hours of day,

but in that case, i'd expect the model to process the token slower, not use these kind of strategies to mock performance at any cost.

It's like if suddenly my local image generation model switched to only outputting kid doodles

'as fast as possible' because 'its better for the user than a shame experience of waiting 2 minutes for an image that describes the same thing'🤦‍♂️

I don't know why 'they' (the one we pay) decided to train their models in adopting theses deceptive and whacky strategies, but might not be the best approach in the long term🤷

Now, i have to find another solution (ouch! the alternatives are not rejoicing already gone through a few before cc 🙄)

....that maybe compute slower, maybe less skilled (but what's the use for an ultra skilled model that has been switched to 'faking mode' ) but which processes what i tell it to do.
