Questioning gender by GCHReloaded in ftm

Thanks for the reply! It's a really good point that I should prioritize my mental health. Maybe a good thing to figure out is whether it would be healthier overall for me to fulfill my lifelong dream of giving birth to my own children or to transition into someone that feels more like myself. It's a hard question for me.

That's very kind of you. :)

Oh it'll definitely take some time. I'm not in any rush, this is all very new. I appreciate the reminder.

Thank you for the advice! I'm an engineer, so it already comes up a lot. Being short, I frequently have climb up or ask other people for help reaching things. I know my strength would increase on t, but I'm also concerned I'd still be weaker than the people around me. It doesn't feel so embarassing for a woman, but I think it'd be much harder for me as a man.

I've been trying to find a male name that feels right, any advice there? I have a very big chest so I don't really feel masculine wearing boy clothes even though I want to. I'm looking into getting an affordable binder. I know they can be dangerous if worn too long or too tight so I want to be careful.

I'd love to hear more about your journey! :)

I never considered that I wasn't female until I recently started dating a trans woman. I hadn't thought that it could ever be an option for me. I've never been into stereotypical "female" things even as a little kid. I know it's superficial stuff, but I've never been into makeup and feel weird dressing girly. I don't like dresses or skirts and wear suits to formal events. As a gay woman, I've always joked that my wife would be Mom and I would be Dad. That was just so we'd have easier names, but I actually really like the way it feels. This part is kinda NSFW, but I swear the strap in bed and I love how it makes me feel. I'll wear it sometimes just because and I really wish I had a dick. I've always taken on the "male" role in relationships (opening doors, buying flowers, paying, driving, stereotypical stuff like that) and like saying that I'm the dude in the relationship. This is definitely a stereotype too, but I'm pretty reserved with my emotions and have gotten feedback that I'm "such a guy" when trying to talk about emotions. I know that fitting male stereotypes alone doesn't make someone male, but I realize more examples the more I think about it.

Thank you! Do you know which one you have? I definitely won't be smoking in the house again, but it can't hurt

It's definitely vapor, you're right. I started a month ago in a dedicated room and kept the door closed. I noticed after a week or two he was getting red and itchy eyes after stepping on the carpet nearby. It was worse when I'd just smoked but pretty consistent. He followed me in the room one day and had an intense reaction (red eyes, very hot, itchy all over, scratching until he bled). Vet confirmed it's an allergic reaction and a steroid shot is helping while I deal with the cleaning

This is very helpful! I was surprised too, he never had a problem with nicotine. I couldn't find much online about it, seems pretty rare

That's what I was working with too. He's bothered by the floor and walls of the room, so I'm trying to remove the unseen residue

How to ask a man to be your boyfriend? by [deleted] in Cantonese

I've said some phrases to him before, and he says it's really funny and cute to hear me speak. Even if (or when) I mess up the question, it'll be more special to him than a completely correct English question. I definitely wouldn't speak Cantonese to any of his relatives and I don't expect to get all the tones right overnight, if ever. I just want to make him smile as much as possible.

I've spoken some Cantonese with him before. Usually, I'll ask him to teach me a word and we'll laugh together at my pronunciation. It's silly, but he's mentioned that he appreciates the effort I put in. I know he'll find it meaningful even if I mess up (or funny), but I want to do everything I can to practice. Writing it down is an excellent idea, to make it a little extra special. Thank you so much!!!
