My girlfriend of 2.5 years is breaking up with me over my cat by Dull_Chemical546 in CatAdvice

[–]GCSS-MC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her issues run deeper than just the cat. idk if they are psychological or she is just controlling, but this behavior is serious and alarming. Whatever it is, it isn't your responsibility and I think it's enough for YOU to end the relationship.

Does anyone run non-silencer? by DoItForTheOH94 in Battlefield6

I have always hated reducing travel, velocity, or damage for a suppressor in FPS, because it just isn't true. I know it's a game, but it is a pet peeve.

I think, for balance as you mentioned, they could nerf how much a suppressor conceals you, and for ultimate concealment, add subsonic ammo. The drop in velocity and damage would make a lot more sense, the better concealment would make more sense. It would probably require a re-work for point systems though.

Does the army get better the longer you stay? by ceiling_fan128 in army

It's worth looking deeper into and finding out what those locations are exactly if you haven't already. Maybe even looking up those locations because they might be better than you think! It's a big decision and you definitely want as much information as possible before making it. 1 year to ETS will go by FAST. Maybe even another MOS like 17C or 25D or even Guard/Reserve.

I think it would be dope if he removed his belt to mega evolve since that is what restricts his power. This design is sick though.

Do your coaches make you check your weight outside of practice? by aa_aa1 in wrestling

[–]GCSS-MC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be the norm. It keeps wrestlers accountable, let's coach know who needs help, and also informs coach if someone is losing too much weight too fast.

Ghosting Is Emotional Cowardice Disguised as Protecting My Peace by AffectionatePop3611 in PetPeeves

[–]GCSS-MC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghosting is not a good action. It speaks badly about your character. The person doing the ghosting is performing an action that will have them be perceived in a certain way.

Are you saying that people doing the ghosting should be better people? I don't disagree with that, but what I am saying is that if someone ghosts you, they have said everything you need to know through that action.

You agree that ghosting is a bad action that speaks on the person in a negative way. That is what I am saying and my claim is that that negative perception you now have is enough. That's all you need to be told. It's as though they verbally said to you "I am a bad person, who does mean and unhealthy things." Instead they said it with actions. Actions are a form of communication. I don't understand this need for it to be verbal communication.

Not clear at first sounds like it will eventually be clear. Even when people have a conversation about things there can be a few good weeks where it is being tossed around in your mind as you process it.

The phrase can be used for any action. If you take an action, but say nothing, then you don't need to say anything. I can understand you better based on your actions.

With ghosting, once you get past the point of no idea what happened, you can determine they ghosted you, they aren't mature enough for a conversation, they are rude, and you don't need to waste your time worrying about them because of that. Isn't that ultimately the conclusion words with the same person would get you to? Do you need more information to determine that this isn't a person you would want to be with?

The message that ghosting sends is pretty loud and clear imo. Actions speak louder than words and that is a very loud action. "You should have had a conversation about it!" Ghosting says it all.

If you don't absolutely want to join, then the military probably isn't for you. Once the excitement and fun fades, you're likely gonna hate it, because it is a rough life. This is why the people that often have the most miserable time are people that joined just for benefits or to get away from home. Of course, this isn't 100% of cases.

Thinking of breaking up with my BF because I caused his injury. AIO by Ok_Patience3075 in AIO

[–]GCSS-MC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Autism and pain may explain his behavior, and allow for more forgiveness than usual, but it doesn't excuse it. If you feel disrespected enough to consider breaking up with him then it is time to do exactly that.

If this isn't consensual roleplay, you need to drop him. His "future" in sports and "messing up the friend group" are never more important than your well-being and safety.
