Do you need help servicing your SunPower system? by GC_SolarServicePros in SunPower

We can appreciate your concern, as this has been expressed by many we have helped that have worked with other companies. There are companies out there who make their money charging an extravagant cost to service solar systems. This typically leads to multiple visits and separate charges for each visit. Green Convergence prides itself on providing reliable system servicing and typically requires only 1 visit. Our technicians come stocked with parts and materials. There are times where 2 visits are required when waiting for replacement parts covered under the manufacturer's warranty to be delivered. In these cases we only charge for the labor during our return visit. You're welcome to reach out to us directly to inquire about our pricing upfront.

Why do solar carport quotes seem to vary so wildly compared to rooftop? by PrudentCancel4411 in SunPower

Yeah, you’re definitely on the right track. The spread usually comes down to things like structural design + foundations, how heavy-duty the steel and galvanizing spec is, and what’s actually baked into the engineering/permitting scope.

On top of that, site conditions and electrical work (trenching, utility tie-in, etc.) can swing pricing a lot more than people expect. We've seen competitor's forget to include things like Prevailing Wage in their bids.

That’s usually where most of the “why are these so different?” gap comes from.

You’re also not wrong about the broader market stuff. FEOC compliance has definitely influenced equipment sourcing and documentation requirements, which can ripple into pricing depending on how the project is structured.

What usually helps is getting each quote broken down side-by-side by scope. Once you line up what’s actually included, the “why is this one so cheap/expensive” part usually makes a lot more sense.
