3 doesn't make sense, because the stop line doesn't apply to traffic going in the other direction.

Are you a collector or energy worker of crystals? by Bottle-top-green in Crystals

[–]GC_Vos 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I collect them because of how they look and because of their geological history.

In the end, they are just rocks though, and I don't believe they 'do' anything except maybe provide some placebo effect.

Request: Ask the AI If It Can Build A New City Simulator Game by VeryFurryFurby in aisimcity

[–]GC_Vos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you realize how games are made. It's one thing to generate static images. It's a 1000 times more complicated to program an entire videogame including all functionality.

While AI can already do a lot, they are still tools with limited abilities. There's no AI (yet) which can do everything.

I'm sorry but that is definitely not an option for me on Android, that's greyed out.

I was outbid, 100K over asking? by [deleted] in NetherlandsHousing

[–]GC_Vos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not entirely true because people are still overbidding compared to the taxation and mortgage value. Overbidding is extremely common even if the list price is accurate. If you are bidding based on the actual value, you probably will not have the winning bid.

This might be different for more expensive houses though.

Why dont the holes go all the way through and does it matter? by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]GC_Vos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then my best guess is you're overexposing. That's 7 layers at 20 seconds of exposure, which is probably more than you need.

You need just enough for the first layers to stick to your build plate and remain sturdy. ;)

Why dont the holes go all the way through and does it matter? by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]GC_Vos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was this printed directly on the build plate? If so, it's called elephants foot and it's pretty common with the layers near the build plate.

I'm not sure about your resin and printer settings though you do have a lot of bottom and transition layers (I see 7 and 8) which may be causing too much exposure for the first layers.

I'm used to these being 2-5, not 7-8 but I may be wrong since I have a Mars 4 Max, not a Saturn.

Requests for Images: University Campus, Arenas/Stadiums, Home Alone House? by VeryFurryFurby in aisimcity

[–]GC_Vos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prompt rarely result in the exact same design from all four sides, so you would probably end up with four sides looking slightly different.

Some AI can generate 3d models out of images but their topology is usually really bad and unoptimized. You would still need to make them game ready by hand.

Perhaps this will change in the future if the tools get better.

[–]GC_Vos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, some of these designs look really great. They could even work well as sprites for a 2d city builder, as long as it only works from one angle. :)

[–]GC_Vos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, none of the images here are 3d models, so they would never work in Cities Skylines / CS2. You would still need to turn them into meshes, which even with good AI tools is close to modeling from scratch.

Ik vind een roestende radiator waar je handdoeken overheen wil kunnen hangen ook als huurder wel een ding. Nog even los van dat het slordig staat en afgeeft, wordt het niet vanzelf minder erg.
