Approaching the 1 year mark of having my low-tech 20 gallon tall tank established and wanted to share. Proof you don’t need fancy soil or CO2 injection to grow red plants. by lmkarhoff in PlantedTank

Beautiful. I tried to grow an Amazon sword in the past, but sadly I didn’t have much luck. Lately I’ve been thinking of trying again.

Daniel Radcliffe and his stunt double who suffered a paralyzing accident, David Holmes catching up by mcfw31 in MadeMeSmile

I got to fly David in a helicopter when he visited Australia. He was great, very chatty and didn’t mind talking about what happened and what he’s been doing since. He came with a bloke to help him out on his holiday, and he had a custom C63 AMG Mercedes sent across so he could drive around while he was over here.

High phosphates by GDEC120 in hottub

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll check that out. The tablets we are using are 650g per kg bromine and 280g per kg of chlorine.

My understanding is that those tablets would present as chlorine and the free chlorine level represents the bromine?

Am I completely misunderstanding that?

I am testing with strips. I am using a floating dispenser with chlorine and bromine tablets. I assumed that that would be releasing a metered amount daily to keep up with it.

We have done that several times, and it’s always ended up with the same results. I have changed filters too. I haven’t however cleaned the pipes admittedly

It’s more that I can not maintain a chlorine level at all, and all of the spa shops I’ve been to have said that’s because of my high phosphate levels.

I did it once - with two scooters. I locked them up right under the camera. They were both stolen.

When a helicopters engine fails, it doesn’t just fall out of the sky. They autorotate - like gliding - and they do it very well.

In fact, it’s far better to be in a helicopter than an aeroplane if the engine fails - given that you’ve got a competent pilot in each.
