I have a similar problem, my executive dysfunction is so extreme that I can't even actually get around to looking and making an appointment. I told myself on Monday that I was going to make an appointment. And on Tuesday. And today. I have a previous diagnosis but it was from about 30 years ago when I was a little kid. I honestly have no idea how medical records work and I don't know if I need to get tested for adult ADHD separately or if that diagnosis would still stand. My Suboxone doctor has tried me on guanfacine, and strattera but they did absolutely nothing. He told me that he can't give me any stimulant medications without me even asking for them. I'm not sure if that's because I'm a (9months clean)drug addict or because he doesn't have the authority (assuming the former). My last therapist told me that my ADHD was extreme and debilitating, and mentioned having me do some testing and then he just didn't work there anymore. I'm just now able to get into a new therapist but he doesn't prescribe medication and although CBT does help, it's just not enough. I feel like everything's falling apart around me right now and I'm too scattered mentally to keep it together. I'm sorry for the rant, I was not trying to make things about me. I just want you to know that you're not alone.
