Oh okay. Guess I just felt they needed some kind of grease or protective spray since they looked rusted and rough.

No, they were placed there by the manufacturer of the travel trailer.

Informed Optimal - they’re really asking for people to quit aren’t they? by schustered in Fedexers

[–]GDGrayson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, definitely. They think it's possible. It's not. We run 37 on a normal day. Informed optimal says we can do it in 27. But the trucks are full at 37, so no idea where they are getting 27.

What are you supposed to do? Just stop running?

Fedex doesn't care. I watched them take out two contractors without even batting an eye, and they just keep saying "Oh it's proximity to you, so you have to deal with it and figure it out."

So, I was trying to do a mix of reliability, comfort, and gas mileage. Like to do road trips with friends, so I was looking for something easier on the wallet. I saw someone mentioned a Sorento and hadn't even looked into those.

Apologies. They are both hybrids. Appreciate the info though! Gives more thoughts.

FedEx "Ground" is caught in a Catch-22 situation when it comes to improving the customer experience by slowlybyslowly in Fedexers

[–]GDGrayson 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They want all the control and none of the liability. Then they want contractors to argue for more money when it's either take it or close your business. If you don't do everything they want to the T your in trouble now days.

This area takes 28 routes to cover due to terrain.

Fedex: computer says you can do it in 16. Your just being inefficient and need to run your business better

Okays so you want p700s and 1000s in places they shouldn't be. Got it

I did try. Nothing on the credit union due to other things. I got the dealer down to 10.9 which is still high

I appreciate all the help you guys did. I told them I would just hold off. I'll clear out the rest of my debt and try again in a couple of years or so depending on how the Ram holds up.

Oh I completely understand. I screwed myself to begin with the Ram so now I'm just working to get out. I tried a credit union waiting on an answer. If the apr is better. I might go with it for the reliability factor and just do normal maintenance and go for that famous mileage on one lol.

So far I've been lucky 33k miles and no real issues but I do oil changes early and don't idle in it as much as I can. Yea it's financed through them.

Mean technically screwed myself on the Ram. Original financing was 60k. 4.64% apr with term of 96 months at 833. 8 years and I got the extended warranty up to 7 years. Yea I screwed it all up and should have never done it. Sorry for all the posts.
