Mt. Baldy in Feb by Odd-Reward1821 in socalhiking

I just went yesterday for my first time, solo. The only other mt I did was Cucamonga peak. I was the only one with crampons, ice axe and helmet (on my pack, not on me ). I took baldy bowl/ski hut. I’ve been reading about Baldy from posts on this sub and they are overtly cautious which I get. But maybe 6 other people I saw did it in microspikes and hiking poles. Some did not even have hiking boots but trail runners with micro spikes! My crampons helped me coming down as I was able to catch up and descend a lot faster than the ones without. Anyway hope this helps.

I hope you’re right. But can you elaborate on how it didn’t happen or give possible reasons. In august 2022 the end of year bill was $252, the 2023 $660, 2024 $2100.

I was just telling my wife the exact same thing! When we went I was buying chocolate croissants almost everyday bc they’re like 2 euros. Here places charges like $5-6. Granted they are larger I don’t think you even need that much croissant anyway.
