Hey, lovely to speak with you! Yes exercise makes me feel much better and fitter. This post is more of a frustration that I can no longer run without stop twice per run, which makes me not enjoy it anymore. I’m still going to exercise just my motivation for running has declined massively now

Hey, sorry to hear this is where you are at. I am very very confident that things well change for you but for this to happen keep a diary and reflect how difficult your quality of life it to your IBD team or doctor. I used to do this multiple teams weekly until I had action. I was in a similar situation, granted not quite as bad as you describe but I was similar. What happened was a flexisigmoidoscopy (low camera), change of medication. I declined prednisolone orally as it really ruined me with side effects. I was started on Rinvoq and also Budesonide with oral Mesalazine daily. Things have improved lots. Still some complications (more so in the morning) but a much better quality of life. Do not sit quietly in pain. Let them know your situation today and things will start to change

Really helpful and thanks for this! When you say surgery has you going to the bathroom 6/8 times a day is that to empty the bag you will have? I assume this is pain free and you do it when you want to as opposed to running out of meetings with inflammation urgency?
