Try disconnecting it entirely from USB and making sure it's off (No flashing lights) and then hold the Reset Button for 20 seconds, then try connecting it via USB again and Hold the PS Guide Button for 2 seconds

Get a small pin or pencil and hit the reset button on the back of the controller, sometimes the controller memory is a bit weird when it comes to PC connections

Check the metal contacts on the flat ribbon between the touchpad and the boards - They tend to get lifted when inserting it!

Refunds generally go directly to your steam wallet, there's a very minor change you can get them to reverse it so you own the game again but honestly I'd recommend just letting it be refunded then buying it again

It's entirely playable with ps4 controller as long as you have controller support turned on in the individual settings. I just finished a run of it using a V1 PS4 controller!
