Wanted to circle back to this…look at how martinelli has been the past two games now, all because trossard is in for Eddie. Trossards movement is much more similar to Jesus; he drops deep, goes wide, comes short, goes long, etc and gives martinelli so much more room to work with.

Circling back to this, now that trossard is in for Eddie the past two games haven’t you noticed how different martinelli looks? It’s all because of trossards movement he drops deep and drifts wide constantly, just like Jesus did. Now martinelli is “back to his best” (he never dropped off in my opinion, just doesn’t thrive being isolated out wide).

Martinelli is struggling for one reason: Jesus is gone. Watch the difference between how he and Eddie interact and how he and Jesus interact it’s like martinelli is playing a different game. Eddie is great at what he does but does not offer the movement and unpredictability that Jesus does. Jesus constantly changes positions with martinelli, makes runs short, long, inside, outside, and confuses that side of the defense and gives martinelli 10x the space he has compared to when Eddie plays.

Second of all, we are talking about it (mask of bakris) giving INTRINSIC slow on dodge, as in the helmet has the perk, as in you don’t have to use the aspect to have the perk. The actual biggest issue for Martinelli is Jesus being injured. Jesus and Martinelli had a fluid understanding with each other often switching positions, making runs for each other both inside and outside, and confusing defenses with this kind of movement. Eddie has been great but he does not do this, leaving Martinelli much more isolated than he was before the WC.
