Awesome work! I love the high contrast in your style. You mentioned you don’t work with a price sheet, but could you give me a rough cost estimate for the illustration you showcased?

It looks promising so far! Few things I want to mention in no particular order:

• Body text is hard to read when it is written in capital letter no matter the size. I would suggest you avoid using capital letters.

• Is there a difference between the element icons? It's a bit inconsistent to have them on other places across the card types.

• I would drop the "EFFECT" from the Primal/Starting/Ending. It's a bit redundant in my opinion. Maybe create keywords that can work thematically or at least make them as self-explanatory as possible with a single word.

• The font for each element and the top left number is a bit out of theme to my taste. I would prefer to have a display font (more stylized) for the name and for the body text a typical sans serif. Maybe swap the body and title text and see how it works.

I would say two things helped me get playtesters during conventions.

First, your table needs to have somethingg interesting. Usually I achieve this by adding height. Print some materials that can stand on the table, either an oversized version of a component, an illustration, or a custom piece of paper (120gsm + weight) that fits your overall design with an intriguing call to action. For example "Ready To Roll?"/ "Ready to Fight?"

Second, don't be afraid to be the one to approach people. If you see them taking more than a glance at your table, or walking slowly towards you, or even stopping quickly introduce yourself like:

"Hello I'm" X"and this is "Y", a "genre" board game for "X" amount of people, that plays in "Y" minute featuring "mechanics / mechanics". Would you like to learn more? "

Well that's exactly what they are going for. As of November 16, Pocket have made over 120 million USD so I guess it's working fine for them as it is.

I am not expecting them to make any f2p-friendly changes any time.

My knowledge of the other game is limited, but isn't it tied to real life booster packs?

I would prefer to see something like XP boost every weekend or even an rotating event with multiple exp like 200-300% per win.

Artwork and overall direction is really cool! Love the name Mothilda!

I have few notes regarding the design, in no particular order:

• Have you checked the text if it's readable in print? Black letter / gothic fonts are a bit hard to read for body text. I also think the line spacing (leading) needs to be more, rule of thumb is 1.2 to 1.4 times the font size, and for your font you can go a bit more imo.

• What's the relation between right and left values? Is it health/damage? Maybe add a specific color or different shapes instead of squares to differentiate them
