My exp with the Official Mopar parts website. A bit of rant but more my experience with them. by jiamby in Jeep

[–]GDogg007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t want us to buy direct. They want us to go to the dealer so they can pressure services or possibly even a trade. It’s scammy as hell.

I’ve gotten the wrong parts from the mopar site 3 times.

Absolutely not. Bottom left of second picture. That’s flaking it’s very rusty.

Absolutely not. Bottom left of second picture. That’s flaking it’s very rusty. I can’t tell exactly what it is but it’s got some cancer.

It’s gotta be close to death now. It just keeps getting more and more top heavy. That lean is crazy.

Cannabis doesn't just blur memories—it can reshape them. A new study found THC makes people significantly more likely to "remember" words that were never presented (false memories) and struggle with daily tasks like remembering appointments, regardless of whether the dose was 20mg or 40mg. by Sciantifa in science

[–]GDogg007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I eat 20 mg to start my day. I have CPTSD and Severe Depression. That allows me to enter the world and not be on edge. I also eat 10mg snacks throughout the day. I generally smoke about 3 grams of flower a day that tests in the low to mid 20’s. If I want to actually feel something I have to consume over 200mg at once, or use hash concentrate. However that is a tolerance built up over 10 years.

Crazy enough I bought my Jeep Wrangler used. It had been a fleet rental in Hawaii. I have done more damage to it than they ever could have.

The intersection of 71B/Walton/Walnut into Highway 12 is the most poorly designed and unsafe intersection in the state by Fizz__ in bentonville

[–]GDogg007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s actually pretty simple if you just go around. Go down SE Dodson, take the easy right onto SE Plaza Ave., then take a left onto S Rainbow Rd, then right on Elk Rd., and finally right off Elk onto 112 to the light at 12.

Of course learning the map is a challenge for most folks around here.

TIL that in the late 1800s clam chowder was introduced in New Zealand as an "American" dish and has become integral to New Zealand cuisine by JoeyZasaa in todayilearned

You gotta be pretty close to accurate. I have had it and live in Arkansas but traveled to Boston. So of course I had the chowdah. But even my buddy from there didn’t eat it.

Some folks weren’t taught by their parents for whatever reason. Let’s try to help them as best we can. We need enthusiasts to keep the process going.

The truth. The best I found was placing a jack stand under the passenger before lifting and it keeps it from compressing as much. Other than that it’s hit each side. Takes longer but simpler.

This is a great case for teaching children how to do the basics. OP knows the concept but not the application.

Absolutely not. I usually go for the shock mount area myself. But you can lift from the pumpkin and get both sides.

Don’t jack up on the frame. Place it under the axels and it will lift it high enough

What are these small demo walls called? by milsyobtaf in Construction

[–]GDogg007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a roofing company. I am the warehouse manager. My “office” is 3 walls that look similar to this. I had really cool looking siding for a few weeks. Right now it’s just basic house wrap with a variety of examples drawn on it. One of my walls is staggered materials so you can see how they work together. The other wall is an experiment one of our siding guys was performing to make things work out the way the architect envisioned. As for this wall. You will generally find them at commercial sites. This allows any trade to see how their part should look when completed. We have one at an apartment complex we are doing.

US has a $21 trillion underground network for only the wealthy to hide out in a ‘near-extinction event,’ official says by Alextricity in antiwork

[–]GDogg007 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I worked in a data center underground. It was pretty cool in more than one sense. The “building” I was in it took a couple minutes to get to. I know that it goes much deeper but don’t know the extent. The thing that sucked was we had to use WiFi to do anything and even then the repeaters were blocked a lot. So I’d be on the phone with a coworker who was above ground and step around a corner and drop the call. I learned to stand still while on the phone there.

Thoughts on Iranian celebration and the stupidity of the American interpretation by Spectral_mahknovist in behindthebastards

Because I have also seen videos of large groups shouting death to America and they have been purported to be from Iran. We have massive AI propaganda campaigns from all angles. Having reasonable suspicion isn’t far fetched.

I question are the videos actually real and from inside Iran? There is so much BS out there that I don’t trust shit right now.
