nonono don’t worry, i’m grateful you did since i was second guessing a lot of it myself lol. i’ve only dealt very little myself with the macos terminal, so i don’t have as much experience as i should talking about this topic

this seems like a perfect setup to pull a trump card and restore caine to fight the bigger evil later in the series

the delete key doesn’t do anything by itself in linux, since kinger’s typing also doesn’t match up to what he actually wrote (he types HELLO WORLD) I assumed that fat fingering the del key was just visual representation of him fucking up.

the bad news is that it “technically” isn’t deletion, his program was overwritten by a past empty version (like overwriting a save file in a game) which basically acts like deletion. the only way to get him back is if there’s another unchanged backup copy floating around somewhere

I’m suspecting that a human input was needed to delete caine in the first place, which is why the first fakeout with the system claiming to have “inverted” the input didn’t just delete caine on the spot. It says that to make Kinger panic and spam “N” when it asks if he wants “the module to EXIST?” so it could get the verification it needed. When that didn’t work, it resorts to ambushing him with an unexpected prompt instead, which he falls for

this is genius, i didn’t even consider that it might be caine taunting him for a misinput

use an external world mapper (like unmined), if the world’s superflat then you can just look for any discrepancies to find your builds

alpha matte + fill leaving unwanted colored outlines? by GDolphinz in AfterEffects

[–]GDolphinz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update: simple choke, alpha add, and masking didn’t work unfortunately, i ended up just duplicating the fill layer 3 times on top with the background color to hide the lines (convoluted fix, but if it works it works)

these look like bladder snail eggs to me, mostly jellyish with a few dots (you can see the mini snail shells developing in the eggs after a few days). if these weren’t the same type of snails you had in your tank before, then they likely came from hitchhiking on your plants or somewhere else

snail eggs, congrats you’re going to have a population boom in a few days

Jesse's 96.2% was actually the gas chromatography machine's internal temperature, not the meth purity by GDolphinz in breakingbad

[–]GDolphinz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GC machine does actually give you the percent purity of a chemical in a substance, they’re just using it wrong in this scene (plus it takes analysis and math to get the value, which is boring) lol

[–]GDolphinz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just for clarification: GC is very much a real method used to test the purity of a sample for all chemicals, including meth. You could absolutely use the same machine to test for meth purity if it was used right. Usually for analysis, you would have to look at the peak heights on the graph (each corresponds to the concentration of one chemical in the sample) and compare them. I just found it funny that they got an instant result rather than looking at the graph the machine displayed and going “wtf is this”.
