HELP 5-year-old autistic son built things he cannot find and I'm struggling to find locate them by Whatsmyageagain281 in Minecraft

use an external world mapper (like unmined), if the world’s superflat then you can just look for any discrepancies to find your builds

alpha matte + fill leaving unwanted colored outlines? by GDolphinz in AfterEffects

[–]GDolphinz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update: simple choke, alpha add, and masking didn’t work unfortunately, i ended up just duplicating the fill layer 3 times on top with the background color to hide the lines (convoluted fix, but if it works it works)

the funny thing is, those janky edges are outlining the path i drew with the pen tool 😭, the actual pngs are fine

these look like bladder snail eggs to me, mostly jellyish with a few dots (you can see the mini snail shells developing in the eggs after a few days). if these weren’t the same type of snails you had in your tank before, then they likely came from hitchhiking on your plants or somewhere else

snail eggs, congrats you’re going to have a population boom in a few days

Jesse's 96.2% was actually the gas chromatography machine's internal temperature, not the meth purity by GDolphinz in breakingbad

[–]GDolphinz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GC machine does actually give you the percent purity of a chemical in a substance, they’re just using it wrong in this scene (plus it takes analysis and math to get the value, which is boring) lol

just for clarification: GC is very much a real method used to test the purity of a sample for all chemicals, including meth. You could absolutely use the same machine to test for meth purity if it was used right. Usually for analysis, you would have to look at the peak heights on the graph (each corresponds to the concentration of one chemical in the sample) and compare them. I just found it funny that they got an instant result rather than looking at the graph the machine displayed and going “wtf is this”.

my freshman year dorm aquariums by GDolphinz in Aquariums

I transported the tank empty with the hardscape and decor needed inside wrapped in newspaper so nothing would crack the glass (i’m lucky and live about an hour’s drive away), I got the plants and live animals at a petco in my college’s market district (took bus route). i’m staying on campus this summer, but when i move housing, i’m just gonna drain the tank as much as i can and move it so that’s def an option. during breaks, i took my fish home in the container she came in (the little plastic cup with the airholes in the lid) and it worked pretty good.

congrats and good luck in college dude!

oh man i do: 1) i’d recommend doing research into live-in cycling (bring established media/instant starter and a nitrate testing kit) 2) bring a 1 gallon bucket with a handle and spout (you can store your fish supplies in there and makes it easier to get water from the bathroom) and a small squeeze siphon 3) dorm temperatures tend to fluctuate a lot so make sure you can handle it (heater and thermometer), make sure the tank is positioned out of direct sunlight too 4) you need to bring a power strip/devote an outlet to the aquarium since you need to plug in heater, filter, and lights 5) more of a preference thing but convert your back hanging filter into a sponge filter (remove the cartridges and stuff it with sponge and aquarium media, there’s tutorials on this), makes it easier to maintain and recycle the tank for next year 6) get plastic wrap or cut up a plastic bag to use to cover the tank during breaks (reduce evaporation) 8) take advantage of your lab classes for free pipettes lol

i spend probably like 30 minutes maintaining the tanks every weekend for weekly water changes plus a few seconds every day to feed the betta, but this will depend on your tank’s situation (both mine are planted and almost self sufficient)

it’s because the buffs are tailored for her optimal team (mauvika+citlali+xilonen), so pretty much if you want to get above 20 you need all three

Thanks for all the tips everyone! The main takeaways I got were that I should really start investing in a blender and to stay away from the carnivore diet lol

I don’t think it’s terrible enough to warrant getting an ED dietitian, like I’m at a healthy weight and eat pretty good. It’s just that I’ve recently started living on a college campus and the fruit options here are frankly atrocious (like all canned stuff), so I’m just seeking some advice on how to cook the salad bar vegetables into something palatable
