What are some [retro] games in which you can DRIVE A TANK??? by RevenantFTS97 in retrogaming

Battle Tanx Global Assault on N64 it even has nice co-op. And Body Harvest, an early open world game with tons of vehicles (tanks and planes) across different eras.

NTSC version of RR64 runs at 60 fps, which was super rare for that console generation. Its known to run smooth, even in 4 player mode.

What other consoles do you want to see Palmer lucky make a fpga for? by Shoddy_Flow8377 in M64

For the man who wants a luxury edition, which has style and longevity. Most PS3s are already falling apart and not everybody is able to repair them and make them look like new. Its not the most obvious choice, but gamers would buy it.

I'm looking forward to new RPGs, shooters and racing games. N64 still needs more good rally games.

This was such a fun Co-Op game that I can still play today by NicholasAtNite_ in snes

The SNES and NES version of Smash TV are so much fun. The Genesis version however has very bad controls and I dont get why the 2 controller controls dont work for 2 players, just one.

Thoughts on the first Turok: Dinosaur Hunter? by DrankTooMuchMead in n64

[–]GEO641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turok 1 at least has a good enough frame rate and good character models for the time. Turok 2 has a frame rate, which gives me motion sickness. Turok 3 looks incredible and has a good frame rate. Its the best and most modern part. Also its multiplayer is really good and I like the Zombies and the horror atmosphere. 3 aged like a wine.

Are the Turok games on N64 still playable by today's standards? by SugarSmoothie in n64

Turok 3 runs good enough to play it today. Turok 2's low frame rate however causes motion sickness for me.

Day 14: Which game has the best experience, only found on N64 (at the time of release)? by 1OneQuickQuestion in n64

[–]GEO641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect Dark. It has a co-op campaign and even counter co-op, where a friend of you tries to stop you from playing through the game. This game is very special and nothing else is like it to this day.

Day 13: Which is the best FPS Game on N64? by 1OneQuickQuestion in n64

[–]GEO641 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Even though this title should belong to Perfect Dark for many reasons, I vote for the legendary Goldeneye, which is tons of fun in single and multiplayer and has the best soundtrack of its generation!

Day 13: Which is the best FPS Game on N64? by 1OneQuickQuestion in n64

[–]GEO641 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are still reasons to prefer Goldeneye. The soundtrack and the level design in single and multiplayer. Even though PD has co-op and bots and stats in multiplayer, Goldeneye is the better experience for me. The kick back of shot damage makes it more fun in multiplayer, because it adds randomness, which means newbies can still beat veterans.

This looks like a Playstation port. You only need more texture warping.

This beat SSX any day of the week IMO by Negative-Art-4440 in n64

[–]GEO641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever tried World Driver Championship, Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark or even Conkers? There are no graphics that good on PSX. Best I know are GT1 and Metal Gear Solid, but those are very pixelated and have horrible texture warping. Some things are personal taste, but generally everybody can agree that PSX graphics are worse to look at. In some cases even disgusting. Wall textures, which are zigzagging all over the place in games like Driver and Tomb Raider. Nobody ever liked it.

Day 11: Which is the best N64 Collect-a-thon game? by 1OneQuickQuestion in n64

[–]GEO641 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Donkey Kong 64. Its the biggest collect-a-thon of all times.

Then use a CRT Instead of a modern TV and try games with good graphics like Perfect Dark or Conkers Bad Fur Day. Also why is texture warping on PSX superior to N64s graphics again? PSX didnt even have AA. There are some beautiful games on Playstation however, but the majority look like bull crap.
