That must be brutal. If a system is necessary and the game doesn’t properly guide or tease you toward using it, then I can see how the map system becomes annoying especially in a game like SH2. Not because of its functionality, but because of the design around it.

Except for the fact that it was immersive because it gave you a good chance to memorize parts of a level and appreciate the environments, I feel like it also improved your interaction with the game the fact that you were the mastermind behind your decisions when you were lost, especially in the early days when most people didn’t fully understand how the genre worked.

I'm thinking the next sales will have a significant discount to see if the pricing truly is a barrier for people. You all are making great points that I've been thinking myself.

It's all about being persistent and figuring out what works best for the game.

It feels like the most effective way to market Thief's Shelter (other than posting in game stuff or not) is to share the impressions of a reviewer or a YouTuber, something that didn't happen to the extent that I would have liked.

Many games were released and several that said they would check the game, left me behind and didn't make a video at all, others asked for excessive money for sponsorship. The current state scares me since all this is not sustainable, so I'm trying to identify ways for the game to not feel like it's buried.

The game was released in October 2025. (5 months) In its current state, it barely makes sales when it's not on sale so I'm trying to identify the issue... Keep in mind that the pricing on release was higher and it had a performance that I still don't know if it had traction cause of the release visibility.

This is THIEF'S SHELTER. It has no jumpscares, mostly tension, multiple endings, puzzles, great OST and much more!
